Kalinga Institute of Industrial Training (KIIT) conducts KIITEE MGT for MBA admission. The full form of the exam is KIIT Entrance Examination for Management and is also referred as KIIT Management Entrance Exam. The upcoming examination was held in the month of January 2018 and the application process for it will begin in the month of September/October 2018.
The candidates will be exempted from appearing for the KIIT Management Entrance Exam 2018, if they have qualified CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT. KIIT Management Entrance Examination 2018
KIIT conducts KIITEE MGT to fill MBA seats in KSOM. KSOM stands for KIIT School of Management. Earlier known as Institute of Business Administration and Training (IBAT), it is now part of KIIT Flagship. It is an AICTE approved institute, which NAAC Accredited under ‘A’ grade. Candidates admission in KSOM will be granted admission in BBA, MBA courses, the admission criteria for which will be as below.

KIIT Entrance Exam 2018 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks from any university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
- The candidate must have 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the 10th and 12th board examinations.
- Candidates those who are awarded CGPA or grades in place of marks, their CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks based on the equivalence certified by the university/institution/board from where they obtained their degree/certificate.
- In absence of any instruction from the university, equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum CGPA and multiplying the fraction so obtained by 100.The candidate also requires to have a valid score of any national entrance examination for MBA or PGDM (e.g., CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, including KIITEE Management, 2018, etc).
Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) and expected to complete all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree by 30th June, 2018 can also apply, subject to submission of all the required documents to that effect by 30th September, 2018. Failing to submit the requisite documents in time will entitle a student to withdraw from the programme.
Foreign/NRI candidates will have the above eligibility for applying for the MBA programme and they are required to submit the filled-up application form along with the requisite documents and application fee of US $50. They will be considered for admission process on the basis of their valid GMAT scores (appeared in year 2017).
Application Form of KIIT MBA Entrance Exam 2018
The application form for KIIT MBA Entrance Exam is available online. However, the candidates will also have the option to download the application form and then submit it offline. The offline application form is to be submitted to the Institute. Whereas, the online application form is to be filled and submitted through the online application portal only.
In the application form, along with the personal and education related details, the candidates will also have to upload a photograph, signature, etc. Fee payment is also a mandatory step for submitting the form. The amount of fee is Rs. 1250.
KIIT Entrance Examination 2018 Admit card
The admit card for KIIT MBA Entrance Exam will be released on its official website. The admit card will be available few weeks before the commencement of entrance examination. It is important that students should carry their admit card for the examination. No candidate will be allowed to sit for the examination without an admit card. You can download your admit card by simply going to KIIT official site and enter your Registration Number or Name and Date of Birth in the given fields.
The admit card contains details of the venue, date and time of the examination. Check if all the details mentioned on the admit card are correct or not. If you find any mistake, error or any kind of discrepancy in the admit card, bring the issue to the notice of KIIT authorities. Also remember to keep the admit card safely with yourself until the admission process is not over, as it may be required at different stages of admission.
Exam Pattern of KIIT Management Entrance Exam
The Entrance Examination will be of two and half hours duration. There will be a total of 150 multiple choice type of questions. Specific details on number of questions for each subject/course are enumerated below.
- Quantitative Aptitude – 40 marks
- Analytical Reasoning – 40 marks
- English – 30 marks
- General Knowledge – 20 marks
- Issue of Social concern – 20 marks
Language of the questions will be in English. The questions will not be in any other language.
All the questions will be of objective type with three marks (+3) for each correct response, minus one mark (-1) for each incorrect response & zero (0) for no response. The candidates are advised not to attempt a question if they are not sure about the answer. If a candidate marks more than one answer for a question, the answer will be treated as incorrect and will fetch negative marks.
KSOM Management Selection Criteria
The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the following factors:
Admission in BBA Course – The selection of the candidates in BBA program will be done on the basis of the score secured in the UGAT exam and Performance in the Personal Interview Round.

Admission in MBA Course – The selection procedure for MBA course is as stated below:
- Qualify KIITEE MGT
- Appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI)
Qualifiers of CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT may also apply. These candidates need not appear for KIITEE MGT and will be directly called for the GD and PI round. The final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of score in the respective examination and performance GD/PI round.
Note: The admission of the international candidates will be done on the basis of GMAT score.
KIIT MBA Entrance Exam 2018 Result
The result of KIIT Entrance Exam will be released on the official website of KIIT, ksom.ac.in. The candidates will be able to check their result by entering the application number. The result will state the score and qualifying statutes of the candidates. Once the qualified candidates have been declared, the candidates will be called for the interview round.
KIIT MBA Course Fee
The total MBA Course Fee is Rs. 12,01,600/- ( Rupees Twelve lakhs one thousand six hundred only ) payable in five installments as given below. The fee includes Tuition Fees, AC Hostel and Utility charges, Mess charges, Laundry charges, Development and Administration Fees, Books & Materials, Laptop and Blazer.
