Each Masters test follows the major courses of the 3-year and 4-year NEP-2020 degree in that subject, and the 3-year LL.B. test covers general knowledge, English, reasoning and legal aptitude. What is the KUET 2027 syllabus based on?
Each KUET paper is based on the major courses of the 3-year and 4-year undergraduate programme (NEP-2020) in that subject. Every department publishes its own unit-wise syllabus, so the syllabus for Chemistry is different from the one for English or Commerce.
The 1-year Masters candidates take the same 60-question common paper plus a separate 20-question paper, which has its own syllabus list on the official site.
KUET 2027 Syllabus for Major Subjects
These are the topics in the current official syllabi. Check the PDF for your subject before you start, because departments revise them.

What is the KUET 2027 exam pattern and marking scheme?
KUET is an offline OMR test where each question carries one mark and a wrong answer costs 0.25 mark. This is the pattern in the 2026 prospectus:

How should I prepare for KUET 2027?
- Download your subject’s official syllabus and mark the units you studied in your degree.
- Revise your UG major-course notes and standard textbooks unit by unit.
- Solve past KUET papers to see the question style and level.
- Practise 60 questions in one sitting and avoid blind guesses, since each wrong answer costs 0.25 mark.
- If you are applying for a 1-year Masters, also prepare the topics of the extra 20-question paper.
- For LL.B., read a newspaper daily and practise reasoning and legal aptitude questions.
