MICAT 2020 Result
After GE and PI round, the final merit list is released. It is prepared by giving 20% weightage to CAT / XAT / GMAT scores, 30% weightage to the MICAT scores, 20% and 30% weightage to GE and PI scores, respectively. Important dates for MICAT 1 and 2 result 2020 is as follows:

A quick overview of MICAT 2020 Result
MICAT 2020 Scorecard – After a few days of the exam, scorecard with MICAT scores is uploaded under the login of the candidates.
MICAT 2020 merit list for GE and PI – A composite score is calculated for selevion of candidates in GE and PI. The composite score is based of 50% weightage to MICAT scores and 50% weightage of CAT / XAT / GMAT scores.
MICAT 2020 final merit list – Finally on the basis if CAT / XAT / GMAT scores, MICAT scores and GE-PI scores, a final admission list is prepared and as per it seats are allotted to the candidates.
MICAT 2020 Scorecard
MICAT scorecard preparation includes calculation of marks in each section. MICAT has following sections:

Calculation of marks in section A of MICAT 2020 is calculated: Section A is a Psychometric Test, the calculation of scores in this section is based on decision of admission authorities
On qualifying section A, candidates’ CAT/XAT/GMAT scores are considered, only then section B of the qualifying candidates are evaluated.
Marks in Section B is calculated and normalised: As per the marking scheme of MICAT 2020, the score in section B is calculated. The marking scheme is not disclosed by MICA. Selection is based on the overall normalised score and normalised score of each sub section.
Calculation of normalised scores:
1. Scores are normalized in each of the sections using appropriate statistical methods by considering scores of all qualifying candidates up to the stage applicable to the candidate.
2. MICAT-I/MICAT-II overall score is also normalized using appropriate statistical methods.
Third, Section C: The candidates who qualify after the evaluation of sections A and B, get their section C evaluated. Evaluation is based on admission authority’s decision.
How to Download MICAT 2020 Score?
Candidates can check and download the MICAT 2020 scores under their respective logins using the steps below:
Step 1: First of all candidates have to click on the direct link available on this page as per the schedule.
Step 2: Next, on the login screen that opens in a separate window, candidates have to enter their user Id and password. The user id and password is the same as used at the time of MICAT admit card download.
Step 3: Inside the login, candidates can check the link to access MICAT 2020 scores. Click on that link.
Step 4: Result for MICAT 2020 is displayed on the screen in the form of a scorecard
Step 5: Check your result and download the same. Take print copies of it to carry on the day of GE, PI, and final admission.

How to retrieve MICAT 2020 Password
Candidates need password to login and check their respective MICAT scores. If a candidate has misplaced MICAT password the same can be recovered using the steps below:
Step 1: Access the login window and click on the link that says “forgot password?”, as shown in the image below:
Step 2: On clicking the link a new window opens, here the candidates have to enter their User Id and click on the get password button as shown below. This is how candidates can retrieve their MICAT 2020 password.

Based on MICAT scores and CAT/XAT/GMAT scores a list is prepared which has the name of candidates for GE and PI. These candidates have to be present for GE and PI as per the schedule.

A brief overview of selection process:
Qualify each section of MICAT >> Check scores of MICAT >> Check the list of shortlisted candidates for GE and PI >> If qualified, appear for GE and PI >> Check final admission list based on MICAT scores, CAT/XAT/GMAT scores, GE and PI performance.
Step 1: Candidates have to appear for all 3 sections of MICAT 2020. The 3 sections are:
- Section A: Psychometric Test
- Section B: (has 4 sub-sections) – Verbal ability, Quantitative ability and Data Interpretation, General awareness; Divergent and Convergent Thinking
- Section C: Descriptive Test.
Step 2: First, the candidates are selected based on their performance in the section A which is psychometric test. Only the qualifying candidates move to step 3.
Step 3: The candidates who qualify step 2, move to step 3, here the scores of such candidates in CAT/ XAT/GMAT is considered. After this stage the filtered candidates go to step 4.
Step 4: Here the scores of section B is evaluated. The scores in sub section and the overall score is normalised and percentile score is calculated. The candidates who qualify this step, move to step 5.
Step 5: In this step, the candidate’s score in section c (descriptive test) is evaluated.
Step 6: The candidates have to check their MICAT score and check their selection for GE and PI.
Step 7: Final result for admission is calculated and seat is allotted to the shortlisted candidates.
