The MZUEEE 2027 syllabus has two parts. Regular Entry candidates are tested on the JEE (Main) Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus, while Lateral Entry candidates get a branch-wise diploma-level syllabus. Mizoram University has not released 2027 files yet, so this page uses the 2026 syllabus PDFs it linked.

What is the MZUEEE 2027 syllabus for Regular Entry?
For Regular Entry, MZU says the syllabus is as per JEE (Main) 2026, which covers Class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The main units are below.
| Subject | Units (JEE Main 2026 syllabus) |
|---|---|
| Mathematics | Sets, relations and functions; complex numbers and quadratic equations; matrices and determinants; permutations and combinations; binomial theorem; sequences and series; limits, continuity and differentiability; integral calculus; differential equations; coordinate geometry; three-dimensional geometry; vector algebra; statistics and probability; trigonometry |
| Physics | Units and measurements; kinematics; laws of motion; work, energy and power; rotational motion; gravitation; properties of solids and liquids; thermodynamics; kinetic theory of gases; oscillations and waves; electrostatics; current electricity; magnetic effects of current and magnetism; electromagnetic induction and AC; electromagnetic waves; optics; dual nature of matter and radiation; atoms and nuclei; electronic devices; experimental skills |
| Chemistry | Basic concepts; atomic structure; chemical bonding; chemical thermodynamics; solutions; equilibrium; redox reactions and electrochemistry; chemical kinetics; periodicity; p-block, d- and f-block elements; coordination compounds; purification and characterisation of organic compounds; basic principles of organic chemistry; hydrocarbons; organic compounds containing halogens, oxygen and nitrogen; biomolecules; practical chemistry |
What is the MZUEEE 2027 syllabus for Lateral Entry?
Lateral Entry candidates are tested on diploma-level topics of the branch they apply for. MZU’s 2026 syllabus PDF covers four groups of branches.
| Branch | Main topics (2026 syllabus) |
|---|---|
| Civil Engineering | Building materials and construction; design of RC and prestressed structures; engineering mechanics; strength of materials; fluid mechanics; water resources; sanitation and water supply; irrigation; soil mechanics; transportation engineering |
| Electronics and Communication | Electronic devices and circuits; switching circuits; digital electronics; communication (AM, FM, radio, TV); wave propagation and transmission lines; instrumentation and measurement; 8085 microprocessor |
| Electrical Engineering | Electrical circuits and network theorems; basic electronics; electrical materials; instruments and measurements; DC machines, transformers and induction machines; generation, transmission and distribution; power electronics; digital electronics; microprocessor and C/C++ programming |
| Computer Engineering and IT | Computer organisation and architecture; computer networks and the OSI model; object-oriented methods; database management systems and SQL; operating systems; data structures and C programming |
What is the MZUEEE 2027 exam pattern and marking?
In 2026 both Regular and Lateral Entry candidates wrote a 2-hour offline paper of 90 multiple-choice questions, with 1 mark for each correct answer and no negative marking.
MZU does not publish a subject-wise split of the 90 questions. A simple non-programmable calculator was allowed, and answers were marked on an OMR sheet with a blue ballpoint pen.
Where can I download the MZUEEE syllabus PDF?
The official files are linked from the MZUEEE admission page on mzu.edu.in: the JEE (Main) 2026 syllabus for Regular Entry and a branch-wise PDF for Lateral Entry. Both are listed below. Check the 2027 brochure when it is out, as MZU may link the JEE (Main) 2027 syllabus instead.

How should I prepare for the MZUEEE 2027 syllabus?
- Regular Entry: finish the NCERT Class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics books first, since the JEE (Main) syllabus is built on them.
- Practise objective questions topic by topic. With no negative marking, attempt all 90 questions.
- Lateral Entry: revise your diploma textbooks for the core subjects of your branch listed above, and solve short numerical problems.
- Take timed 2-hour practice tests on an OMR-style sheet to build speed.
JEE (Main) previous papers are useful practice for Regular Entry, because MZU does not publish MZUEEE question papers. Once you are ready, check the MZUEEE 2027 admit card process.
