Candidates seeking admission for the course at Govt. College of Nursing, Berhampur & Private Colleges of Nursing (recognized by the Indian Nursing Council) in the state of Odisha may apply in the prescribed application form within the stipulated time.

Odisha Nursing Admission 2020-21 Merit List
After the verification of documents at the Nodal centres, the merit list is published. The merit list is released for different courses of Nursing like B.Sc, M.Sc, Post Basic B.Sc, GNM, ANM. The merit list for different courses is prepared according to the marks of the qualifying examination.

After the release of the merit list, the candidates whose names appear in the merit list are required to take part in counselling. To take part in the counselling, the candidates have to:

- 50% of weightage is given to the percentage of the marks secured in 10th and 50% of the percentage of the marks secured in 12th class are considered.
For Basic B.Sc Nursing
The selection for this course is based on the:
- 50% of the aggregate marks secured in 10th class or equivalent examination
- 50% of the aggregate marks secured in 12th class or equivalent exam in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
For Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
For this course, the candidates will be selected as per:
- HSC – 20%
- 10+2 – 20%
- GNM – 60%
For M.Sc Nursing
The admission in the course is done according to:
- For PB B.Sc – HSC (20%), +2 (20%) +GNM (30%) + PB B.Sc (30%)

Candidates who wish to apply for admission in various Nursing programmes must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as provided below:
Eligibility Criteria for Basic B.Sc Nursing Course
- The candidates must be 17 years of age as on 31 December 2020.
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science from CHSE, Odisha or any bother or Council or University.
- The candidates who have passed 10+2 from NIOS with minimum 45% are also eligible.
- The candidates must have passed PCB and English individually and must have obtained minimum 45% marks taken together in PCB (40% for SC / ST).
- The candidates must have passed minimum M.E standard Odia.
- The candidates must be a domicile of Odisha / permanent resident of Odisha / native of Odisha but currently residing outside Odisha.
- Both male and female candidates can apply.
Eligibility Criteria for the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Course
- The candidates must be a domicile of Odisha / permanent resident of Odisha / native of Odisha.
- Additionally, the candidates must be registered nurse or mid-wife of ONMRC or equivalent to any other state Nursing council.
- The candidates must have GNM examinations conducted by ON&MEB Odisha or equivalent.
- Both male and female candidates can apply.
- The candidates must have passed minimum M.E standard Odia.
- The candidates must be medically fit for the course.
- Also, the candidates must have obtained ‘No Objection Cerificate’ from the Appointing Authority or Competent Authority.
- If the candidates have registered his / her name in other State Nursing Council shall be allowed to take part in state selection process and after submission the selected candidates have to get registered under ONMRC and submit their reciprocal registration certificate at the allotted college from the last date of admission.
Eligibility for M.Sc Nursing Course
- The candidates must be a domicile of Odisha / permanent resident of Odisha / native of Odisha.
- The candidates should be a registered nurse and registered midwife of ONMRC or equivalent or any other State Nursing Council.
- The candidates must have done B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum 55% marks from the institution recognized by INC / ONMRC.
- The candidates must be medically fit for the course.
- The candidates must have passed minimum M.E standard Odia.
- Both male and female candidates can apply.
- Also, the candidates must have obtained ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the Appointing Authority or Competent Authority.
Other eligibility criteria for M.Sc courses

ANM
- The candidates must be 17 years of age as on 31 December 2020
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 from CHSE Odisha or equivalent OR Candidates qualify 10+2 exams conducted by National Institute of Open School are also eligible.
- ASHA candidates who have completed 10+2 are also eligible.
- Only female candidates can apply.
- The candidates must have passed minimum M.E standard Odia.
- The candidates must be a domicile / permanent resident / native of Odisha but currently residing outside Odisha.
- Also, the candidates must be medically fit for the course.
GNM
- The candidates must be 17 years of age as on 31 December 2020
- ASHA candidates having 40% marks are also eligible for GNM course
- The candidtaes must have passed minimum M.E standard Odia.
- The candidates must be a domicile / permanent resident / native of Odisha but currently residing outside Odisha
- Both female and male candidates can apply
Educational Qualification
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 with 40% marks from CHSE Odisha or equivalent. However, Science is preferred.
OR
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 / 12th with 40% marks from State Open Schools recognized by State Govt. and National Institute of Open School recognized by Central Govt.
OR
- The candidates must have done 10+2 vocational with ANM course with 40% marks from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council

- The candidates must have done 10+2 Health Science vocational stream from recognized CBSE Board / State / Centre.
