Which topics should I study for each subject?
Physics, Chemistry and Biology follow the Class 11 and 12 level, so study the chapters of the NCERT books.
Physics:
- Units and measurement, motion in a straight line and in a plane, laws of motion
- Work, energy and power, rotational motion, gravitation
- Properties of solids and fluids, thermal properties of matter, thermodynamics, kinetic theory
- Oscillations and waves
- Electric charges and fields, potential and capacitance, current electricity
- Moving charges and magnetism, electromagnetic induction, alternating current, electromagnetic waves
- Ray optics and wave optics
- Dual nature of radiation and matter, atoms, nuclei, semiconductor electronics
Chemistry:
- Basic concepts of chemistry, structure of atom, periodic classification, chemical bonding
- Thermodynamics, equilibrium, redox reactions

- d- and f-block elements, coordination compounds
- Basic principles of organic chemistry, hydrocarbons

- Reproduction in flowering plants and humans, reproductive health
- Genetics and evolution
- Biology and human welfare, biotechnology
- Ecology: organisms and populations, ecosystems, biodiversity
English and Aptitude for Nursing: PGIMER does not list topics for these two. For English, practise reading comprehension, grammar and vocabulary. For Aptitude for Nursing, use the aptitude sections of nursing entrance guidebooks, which mostly test reasoning and general awareness.
How is the PGIMER B.Sc Nursing 2027 paper marked?
Each correct answer gets 1 mark and each wrong answer loses 0.25 marks, so the paper is out of 100. Unanswered questions get zero.

How should I prepare for PGIMER B.Sc Nursing 2027?
- Finish the NCERT Class 11 and 12 books for Physics, Chemistry and Biology first. They cover most of what is asked.
- Give English and Aptitude for Nursing regular time. Together they are 40 of the 100 marks.
- Practise timed sets of 100 questions in 90 minutes, which is under a minute per question.
- Skip questions you are unsure of, since each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.
- Use a nursing entrance guidebook or MCQ book for extra practice after NCERT.
