PUTHAT Answer Key 2027: Release Date, Objections, Score Calculation

The PUTHAT answer key 2027 will be posted with the question booklet on the Panjab University notice board at exams.puchd.ac.in, usually on the day of the test. In 2026 both came out on 15 May, the test day, and objections were taken by email until 17 May. The 2027 dates are not announced yet.

How to Download the PUTHAT 2027 Answer Key

The answer key and the question booklet are public PDFs on the notice board, so you do not need to log in.

1. Open the Panjab University exams notice board.
2. Look for “Answer Key of PUTHAT 2027” and “Question Booklet of PUTHAT Entrance Test 2027”.
3. Download both PDFs.
4. Check that the key’s booklet series or set matches your question booklet (the 2026 key was for Set A).
5. Match your marked answers question by question.

How do you raise an objection to the PUTHAT answer key?

Objections are taken by email only, within the short window given in the prospectus.

1. Note the question number and why you think the key is wrong.
2. Email your objection to [email protected] before the last date (17 May 2026 in the 2026 cycle).
3. Panjab University publishes the objections it received and invites cross-objections (by 23 May in 2026).
4. Valid objections are considered before the result is prepared.

In older keys a question marked X was ambiguous or misprinted, and every candidate got credit for it.

How do you calculate your PUTHAT score?

Each question carries one mark and a wrong answer costs a quarter of that mark.

Score = correct answers – (wrong answers / 4). For example, 70 correct and 12 wrong gives 70 – 3 = 67 out of 100. You need at least 15 marks (10 for SC, ST, BC and PwD) to enter the merit list.

Can you see your PUTHAT OMR sheet?

There is no online response sheet for PUTHAT. After the PUTHAT result, you can apply for a photocopy of your answer sheet to verify your marks, as explained on the result page.
