What sections are in the SET 2027 syllabus?
SET has four compulsory sections, as per the official test structure for 2026, the latest released.

You can answer the sections in any order within the 60 minutes. Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking.
What does each SET section test?
SIU names the sections but does not publish topics, so use this list as a guide to the usual question types.
- General English: reading comprehension, vocabulary and grammar.
- Quantitative: arithmetic and data interpretation.
- General Awareness: current affairs and static general knowledge.
- Analytical and Logical Reasoning: logic-based questions that test how you analyse given information.
What is the SITEEE syllabus for B.Tech?
SITEEE tests Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with Maths carrying half the marks.

How should I prepare for the SET 2027 syllabus?
Practise to the time limit, because you get about one minute per question. Test dates and registration steps are on the SET 2027 page.
- Read a newspaper daily for General Awareness and English reading speed.
- Revise Class 10 level maths for the Quantitative section.
- Solve reasoning puzzles every day; they reward practice more than theory.
- Take full 60-minute timed tests on a computer to get used to the CBT format.
- Attempt every question, since wrong answers cost nothing.
