<strongAcing in college and cracking the MBA entrance exams. What is the secret behind being a high achiever?
I think confidence at the time of exam & some good luck
How did you start preparing for the MBA entrance exams? Was there any specific reason behind wanting to pursue MBA?
I got bored in my last job, so I wanted to learn some managerial aspects of business, so I came here.
Did you play an active role in college events too? How did you handle studies + social activities + prep?
I don’t think that preparation for CAT requires any extra effort. Just practice the basics. So even if you are preparing, you will get ample amount of time to do other work.
Students are often confused about whether to indulge in extra currics at college or not. What do you suggest?
I think, they should. It will help them to improve their personality.
Apart from CAT, which all other exams did you appear in?
None
Please share your best percentiles / scores
99.85 in CAT, with 99.89 in quant section.
After clearing the written exam, is it true that GD and PI are even tougher nut to crack?
Yeah, I think so.
How was your GD (must have been good!)? Can you share details of the round?
There was some question on culture. One just need to maintain confidence & don’t act like a pig (don’t speak too much). Share your thoughts at regular intervals, everything else will be fine.
How was your interview?
Know you Curriculum Vitae properly. Questions can be asked on your city, last course studied in college and so on. If you don’t know any answer, just say it properly, don’t globe.
One question that really confused you in the interview and how you tackled it.
If I get selected in IIM A, will I join IIM L? This was asked in IIM L interview. I told them the truth.
Do coaching classes play an important role in preparation? Did you join any?
I joined TIME for test series, although I gave only 3 tests during the entire preparation. But if you are not able to study on your own, you can join coaching classes.
