What is the TG POLYCET 2027 syllabus based on?
The syllabus is the same as the SSC syllabus of the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana, for the year of the exam. SBTET’s notification does not publish a separate chapter list, so study the Class 10 Mathematics, Physical Science and Biology textbooks in full.

How many marks does each TG POLYCET subject carry?
Each subject’s marks equal its number of questions, since every question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking. The whole paper takes 2 hours 30 minutes.

The MPC rank uses Maths, Physics and Chemistry (120 marks). The MBiPC rank halves the Maths marks to 30 and adds Physics, Chemistry and Biology (120 marks). OC and BC candidates need 36 of 120 to qualify.

SBTET publishes the syllabus rules in the POLYCET instruction booklet on polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in; the 2027 booklet is expected with the notification around February 2027. Until then, use the latest official pages below.

How should I prepare for TG POLYCET 2027?
Your Telangana Class 10 textbooks are the main books, since every question comes from them. Finish the Maths chapters first, as Maths carries 60 marks.
- Solve the TS POLYCET previous year question papers in timed 2 hour 30 minute sittings.
- Attempt every question, since there is no negative marking.
- Practise marking answers on an OMR sheet with an HB pencil, as the exam uses one.
