The TNEA cut off 2027 will be the last rank and aggregate mark allotted in each college, branch and community in the 2027 counselling. Until then, 2026 figures are the best guide: in Round 1, Computer Science at the CEG Campus of Anna University closed at general rank 44 (200 marks) for open competition.

How to Check the TNEA 2027 Cut Off
- Go to tneaonline.org after a counselling round’s allotment is released.
- Open the provisional allotment list PDF for that round and stream (general academic, government school 7.5% or vocational).
- Search for the college code and branch code you want.
- Find the last general rank and aggregate mark allotted under your community in the Allotted Community column.
- Compare it with your own general rank and community rank from the rank list.
DoTE lists every allotted applicant with community, aggregate mark, general rank, college code, branch code and allotted community, so the cut off for each seat type can be read from these lists.

How should you read TNEA cut off figures?
- A smaller rank number is better. If your general rank is below the closing rank for your community, you had a fair chance at that seat in that round.
- BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA and ST candidates are also considered for Open Competition (OC) seats, so many are allotted under OC.
- Government school 7.5% and vocational candidates have their own lists, ranks and cut offs.
- Ties at the same mark are broken by Maths, Physics, optional subject, total marks, age and random number, so the same mark can carry different ranks.
- Compare ranks across years rather than marks alone, since the number of applicants and their marks change every year.
To see how your rank is fixed and which round you join, read the TNEA 2027 rank list page.
