How to Apply for XGMT 2027
There is no separate XGMT form. You apply online for an XIM University programme at apply.xim.edu.in and select XGMT 2027 as your test option in the same form, by 15 December 2026.

Applications for XGMT 2027 open on By 15 December 2026.
- Open apply.xim.edu.in and read the instructions for Admissions 2027.
- Choose your programme (for example MBA-BM) and register with your email address or mobile number.
- Fill in the application form and select XGMT 2027 as the test option.
- Choose up to three preferred test cities. XIM University allots the final city and centre.
- Pay the programme application fee and the XGMT fee online, then submit the form before 15 December 2026.

All fees are non-refundable. One login ID and password works for all your MBA, EMBA and MMS-BF options. To log in later, open the official application portal, choose Login Now and enter your email address or mobile number (with country code) and password. If you forget the password, use Request new password, and the portal emails you a new one.
Who can apply for XGMT 2027?
You can take XGMT 2027 if you hold a bachelor’s degree of at least three years in any discipline, with at least 55% aggregate marks, from a UGC-recognised university.
- Final-year students can apply if they finish their degree examinations by 15 June 2027.
- There is no upper age limit.
- EMBA-BM needs at least 3 years of work experience (5 years if self-employed).
- Individual programmes may add their own conditions, so check the programme page before you apply.
What is the XGMT 2027 exam pattern?
XGMT is a 120-minute online multiple-choice test in English, with sectional time limits. The table follows the XGMT 2026 guidelines; the 2027 FAQ lists the same test areas.

Once a section’s time is over, or you finish it early, you cannot go back to it; you wait for the next section to start. XIM University has not published the number of questions. Its official XGMT page links to sample questions for practice.
Where is XGMT 2027 held?
XGMT 2027 is held in 17 cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi and Rourkela. You pick up to three in the form, but you must take the test in the city allotted to you, which appears on the XGMT 2027 admit card.
Which test scores does XIM University accept besides XGMT?
XGMT is one of several tests XIM University accepts for 2027 admission. For the MBA, EMBA and MMS-BF group it also takes XAT 2027, CAT 2026, NMAT 2026 and GMAT 2025 or 2026 scores; MBA-UMG also accepts GATE 2026 or 2027 and CEED 2027.
Candidates who ranked 1st to 3rd in their undergraduate programme can apply without a test score for MBA-RM, MBA-SM, MBA-UMG, MBA-PPM and MMS-BF.
How does XIM University select candidates after XGMT?
XIM University shortlists candidates on their test scores and calls them for a Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
- The shortlist and the test cut-offs are expected on the XIM website in the first week of February 2027 (tentative).
- Separate cut-offs may apply to Odisha domicile candidates.
- WAT, GD and PI are held offline in cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Patna; dates are not announced yet.
- Selected and waitlisted candidates are informed by email. Deferring admission to a later year is not allowed.
