The AGRICET 2027 syllabus is the syllabus ANGRAU prescribes for its two-year Diploma courses in Agriculture, Seed Technology and Organic Farming. Each diploma has its own paper of 120 questions, and you answer only the paper of your diploma. The test is expected in August 2027.

What is the AGRICET 2027 syllabus based on?
AGRICET questions come from ANGRAU’s syllabus for your diploma course. The 2026 brochure gives no separate topic list, so your diploma course outlines, textbooks and practical manuals are the syllabus.
- Diploma in Agriculture candidates write the Diploma in Agriculture paper.
- Diploma in Seed Technology candidates write the Seed Technology paper.
- Diploma in Organic Farming candidates write the Organic Farming paper.
Which subject areas should you revise for AGRICET 2027?
Revise the main subject areas taught in the ANGRAU diploma courses. This list is a study guide drawn from the diploma subjects; your own course outline decides the exact topics.
- Agronomy: field crops, seasons, sowing, irrigation, weed control, cropping systems, dryland farming
- Soil science: soil formation, soil properties, plant nutrients, fertilisers, manures, soil testing
- Plant breeding and seed production: heredity, breeding methods, hybrid seed, seed certification
- Entomology: insect pests of major crops, storage pests, insecticides, integrated pest management

Seed Technology candidates should also revise seed production, processing, storage, testing and seed law. Organic Farming candidates should also revise composting, biofertilisers, biopesticides and organic certification.

Every correct answer earns one mark and a wrong answer costs nothing, so attempt all 120 questions.

How to Prepare for the AGRICET 2027 Syllabus
- Start with your diploma class notes and practical manuals, subject by subject.
- Make short notes of crop varieties, scientific names, pests, diseases and fertiliser doses.
- Solve the ANGRAU master papers from past years on the AGRICET question papers page; they show the correct answers.
- Take the official CBT mock test on the AGRICET portal when it opens, about a week before the exam.
- Practise reading questions in English, because the English version is final if the Telugu translation differs.
