ICAR AIEEA PG 2027 is the national entrance exam that NTA conducts for ICAR for admission to Master’s degree programmes in agriculture and allied sciences at agricultural universities, and for the ICAR-PG scholarship. Dates are not announced yet. Based on 2026, the form is expected in May 2027 and the computer-based exam in July 2027.

NTA has not released the 2027 schedule yet, so the 2027 dates below are expected months. In 2026 the form opened on 8 May and the exam was held on 4 July 2026, so a similar May to July window is expected in 2027.

How to Apply for ICAR AIEEA PG 2027
You apply online at exams.nta.nic.in/icar once NTA publishes the 2027 information bulletin, expected in May 2027. You submit only one form and choose one major subject group in it, which decides your question paper. No offline form is accepted.

Applications for ICAR AIEEA PG 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- Go to exams.nta.nic.in/icar and read the information bulletin, especially the eligibility rules for your major subject group.
- Register with your own mobile number and email ID, and note the system-generated application number.
- Log in and fill in your personal details, your graduation stream and OGPA or marks, your major subject group and your preferred exam cities.
- Upload a recent photograph and signature and, if it applies, a category or PwBD certificate.
- Pay the fee online by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
- Download the confirmation page and keep a printout.

Bank or payment gateway charges are extra. NTA opens a one-time correction window after the last date; in 2026 it ran from 12 to 14 June 2026. The fee is not refunded once paid.
Who can apply for ICAR AIEEA PG 2027?
You can apply if you are an Indian national with a 4-year or longer Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or an allied subject that matches your chosen major subject group, with the minimum OGPA or marks below. These rules are from the 2026 bulletin, the latest one.
- Qualifying degree: B.Sc. (Ag.), B.Tech. or a similar 4-year degree, a 5 or 5.5-year B.V.Sc. & AH, or another degree listed for your subject group. A 3-year Bachelor’s degree is not accepted, except in a few courses at IARI, IVRI and NDRI under their own rules.
- Final-year students can apply, but must complete the degree by the date the bulletin fixes (31 July in 2026; 15 January 2027 for the Veterinary stream).
- Age: at least 19 years on the date fixed in the bulletin (31 August in 2026). There is no upper age limit for the exam, though some universities set their own.
- Marks are not rounded off, and where OGPA is awarded, a percentage equivalent is not accepted.

What is the ICAR AIEEA PG 2027 exam pattern?
The exam is a single 2-hour computer-based paper of 120 multiple-choice questions for 480 marks, set from the syllabus of the major subject group you choose. The table shows the 2026 pattern, the latest official one.

There are 20 major subject groups, such as Plant Sciences, Agronomy, Horticulture and Veterinary Science. See the ICAR AIEEA PG syllabus for the groups and topics. In 2026 the AIEEA (PG) paper was held from 10 AM to 12 noon, before the PhD paper.
Which seats and scholarship does ICAR AIEEA PG 2027 lead to?
Through this exam ICAR fills 30% of Master’s seats in agricultural universities and 100% of seats at IARI, IVRI, NDRI and CIFE, and at RLBCAU Jhansi and Dr. RPCAU Pusa. In 2025-26 there were 4,883 such ICAR quota PG seats.
- Seats are allotted through online ICAR counselling by rank in your major subject group, category and choices. You pick the exact sub-subject and university at counselling.
- The ICAR-PG scholarship is Rs 12,640 a month for two years, plus a contingency grant of Rs 6,000 a year. It goes to a limited number of candidates by merit.
- Eligible admitted students may also get the National Talent Scholarship (NTS-PG).
- Not more than 40% of candidates from any one state are admitted in a subject and category at a university.
