The CMI result 2027 will come out after the entrance exam on 15 May 2027. Chennai Mathematical Institute does not issue rank cards. It publishes interview lists and lists of selected candidates on its admissions website, and Ph.D. and some M.Sc. candidates attend an interview in Chennai before final selection.

How to Check the CMI Result 2027
You check the result on the CMI admissions website, where CMI posts its lists for each programme.
- Open the CMI admissions page after the exam on 15 May 2027.
- Open the entrance results link for 2027 when it appears.
- Choose your programme: B.S. (Hons), M.Sc. or Ph.D.
- Look for your applicant ID in the interview list or the selected list.
- If you are selected, follow the instructions CMI gives for accepting the offer.
Lists are released programme by programme, so interview lists for M.Sc. and Ph.D. can come before the final selection lists.
Does CMI give a scorecard or rank?
No. CMI does not rank admitted students and does not issue an individual scorecard or rank card. Its lists only show who is called for interview or selected.
What is the expected CMI Entrance Exam 2027 cut off?
CMI publishes no admission cut off, but its question papers print the Part A screening marks below. Expect similar rules in 2027.

What happens after the CMI 2027 result?
- Ph.D. candidates who clear the written test are interviewed in Chennai.
- M.Sc. Mathematics candidates may also have an interview; for other programmes it is at the Admissions Committee’s discretion.
- Selected candidates accept the offer and pay fees as CMI instructs.
- Requests for fee waivers are processed after admissions are finalised.
B.S. tuition was Rs 1,25,000 per semester in 2026-27, with about 30 to 35 full tuition waivers and income-based waivers.
