Ranks are based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics marks and decide your seat in online counselling. In 2026 rank cards came by 4 June and counselling ran until September.

How to Check the DECE LE Result 2027
- Go to bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and open the DECE [LE] section.
- Click the “Rank Card of DECE (LE)-2027” link when it appears.
- Enter your roll number from the admit card.
- Download the rank card and keep printouts for counselling and admission.
How is the DECE LE merit list made?
BCECEB ranks candidates by their total marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. If marks are equal, the candidate with more Mathematics marks ranks higher, and then date of birth decides. Mistakes in printing the merit list give no claim to admission.
Each candidate gets an overall rank and, for reserved categories, a category rank. Seats are then filled from these ranks in online counselling.
What is the expected DECE LE 2027 cut off?
DECE (LE) has no fixed qualifying mark, so the closing rank of each college and branch in counselling works as the cut off. These are the 2026 Round 1 closing ranks at the two main Patna government polytechnics (official BCECEB opening and closing rank list); UR is the overall rank and the other columns are category ranks.

How does DECE LE counselling work?
Counselling is online on bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. You log in to the DECE (LE) online portal with your Registration Number and password.
- Fill your choices of colleges and branches in order of preference during the choice filling window. If you skip choice filling in Round 1, you do not get another chance in Round 2.
- Lock your choices with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and email.
- Check the seat allotment result and download the provisional allotment order.
- Report to the given reporting or nodal centre with original documents for verification, and choose whether to take part in upgradation in the next round.
- Pass the medical check and take admission at the allotted polytechnic by the given date.
In 2026 there were two rounds (allotments on 10 and 22 July) and a mop-up round (allotment on 10 September 2026). The tuition fee is paid only at the finally allotted institute; if you move in the mop-up round, the fee already paid is transferred.
Which documents are needed for DECE LE counselling?
- Class 12 (Science, vocational or technical) or 10th + 2-year ITI marksheet and admit card
- Class 10 certificate and admit card as proof of age
- Rank card and the printed confirmation page of your online application
- Bihar residence certificate, or the parent’s employment certificate if you qualify that way
- Caste certificate, or income and asset certificate for EWS
- Character certificate and school or college leaving certificate
- Aadhaar card copy
- Divyang (DQ) certificate, if you claim it
