The HP LEET syllabus 2027 is the Class 12 syllabus of the H.P. Board of School Education for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, plus a General Knowledge section with a strong Himachal focus. What does the HP LEET 2027 syllabus cover?
The HP LEET syllabus covers Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as prescribed by the H.P. Board of School Education for 10+2, plus General Knowledge. This is the rule in the 2026 prospectus. The 2023 prospectus had set the syllabus at Matriculation level, so check the 2027 prospectus when it comes out.

Which Maths, Physics and Chemistry topics should you revise?
HPTSB does not publish a chapter list, so revise the main units of your HP Board Class 11 and 12 textbooks. The units below are the usual ones in those books.
- Mathematics: sets, relations and functions, trigonometry, complex numbers and quadratic equations, sequences and series, permutations and combinations, binomial theorem, straight lines and conic sections, limits and derivatives, matrices and determinants, integrals, vectors, three-dimensional geometry, statistics and probability.
- Physics: units and measurement, motion and laws of motion, work, energy and power, gravitation, properties of matter, heat and thermodynamics, oscillations and waves, electrostatics, current electricity, magnetism and electromagnetic induction, alternating current, optics, dual nature of matter, atoms and nuclei, semiconductors.
- Chemistry: basic concepts, atomic structure, periodic classification, chemical bonding, states of matter, thermodynamics, equilibrium, redox reactions, solutions, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, p, d and f block elements, coordination compounds, hydrocarbons and organic compounds with functional groups, biomolecules.
What is asked in the HP LEET General Knowledge section?
The GK section has 25 questions: 17 on Himachal Pradesh, 5 on national topics and 3 on international topics. Himachal GK alone is worth 68 marks, so it deserves regular revision.
- Himachal Pradesh: history, geography, districts, rivers and passes, culture, economy and current state news.
- India: polity, history, geography, science in daily life and major national events.
- World: international organisations, major events and awards.
What is the HP LEET 2027 exam pattern and marking?
The paper is a 2-hour OMR test with 4 marks for a correct answer and 1 mark cut for a wrong one. The pattern below is from the 2026 prospectus.

How should you prepare for HP LEET 2027?
- Finish your Class 11 and 12 Maths, Physics and Chemistry textbooks first, since every science question comes from that level.
- Make a short Himachal GK notebook and add state news every week.
- Practise MCQs with a timer: 100 questions in 120 minutes leaves just over a minute per question.
- Solve the HP LEET previous year question papers and check your answers against the official keys.
- Guess only when you can rule out at least two options, because each wrong answer costs 1 mark.
