HPU MCA Result 2027: Merit List and Cut Off

The HPU MCA Result 2027 will be published as a merit list on the Himachal Pradesh University website after the entrance test, expected in June 2027. HPU does not send result cards. Qualified candidates are called for counselling at the Department of Computer Science, Shimla, which was held in July in 2026.

How to check the HPU MCA 2027 result?

Open the admission notices on hpuniv.ac.in after the test.
Open the MCA entrance test result or merit list PDF for the 2027 batch.
Search for your roll number in the PDF (Ctrl+F on a computer).
Note your merit position and the counselling date for your seat pool.
Save the PDF and keep your admit card and application printout for counselling.

HPU sends no separate result card or counselling letter, so watch the website yourself.

What happens after the HPU MCA 2027 result?

Candidates are called for in-person counselling in order of merit, about three for every vacant seat.

Subsidised and non-subsidised seats have separate counselling. In 2026 they were held on 9 July and 18 July at the Department of Computer Science, Shimla.
Carry original proof of date of birth, Class 12 and graduation marks, bonafide Himachal status, category, EWS or PwD as applicable, and the printed application form.
If you miss your counselling slot, your claim to a seat lapses.
HPU then issues selection lists in rounds. The 2026 non-subsidised list came on 10 August 2026.

Ties are broken by the higher percentage in the qualifying degree, then by higher marks in school board exams, and then by the younger age.

What is the expected HPU MCA 2027 cut off?

HPU publishes only the minimum qualifying mark, not the closing rank or marks for each category.

Scoring 35 only makes you eligible. Whether you get a seat depends on your rank, your category and the seats left in each round.

After the test, which is expected in June 2027. In 2026 the test was on 12 June and counselling began on 9 July, so the result came out in between.

Does HPU give an HPU MCA scorecard?

No. HPU publishes the result and merit list on its website and does not send individual result cards.
