What subjects are in the Bihar ITICAT 2027 syllabus?
The syllabus has three subjects, all set at Matric level, in one paper of 150 questions.

Which topics should you study for each subject?
Since BCECEB gives no chapter list, study the Class 9 and 10 Mathematics and Science books of BSEB or NCERT, and build general knowledge alongside.
- Mathematics: Class 10 chapters such as real numbers, polynomials, linear and quadratic equations, arithmetic progressions, triangles, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, circles, areas and volumes, statistics and probability.
- General Science: Class 10 Physics (light, electricity, magnetic effects of current), Chemistry (chemical reactions, acids, bases and salts, metals and non-metals, carbon compounds) and Biology (life processes, control and coordination, reproduction, heredity).
- General Knowledge: the 2022 memory-based paper asked about the freedom movement (Quit India 1942, Non-Cooperation 1920, partition of Bengal 1905), capitals and currencies, sports, books and authors, and current events such as the Russia-Ukraine war.
How is the Bihar ITICAT 2027 paper marked?
- 2 marks for each correct answer.
- No negative marking, so attempt every question.
- 2 hours 15 minutes for all 150 questions.
- Answers are marked on an OMR sheet with a blue or black ballpoint pen.
- Questions are printed in Hindi and English.
- If two candidates tie, Mathematics marks decide first, then General Science marks, then age (older ranks higher).
How should you prepare for Bihar ITICAT 2027?
- Finish the Class 10 Maths and Science books first; most questions are at that level.
- Give Mathematics extra time, because it is the first tie-breaker.
- Read a newspaper daily and revise Indian history, geography and Bihar facts for GK.
- Practise 150 questions in 2 hours 15 minutes to build speed; that is under a minute per question.

The subjects, marks and level are in section 8 of the ITICAT-2026 prospectus, the latest one issued. The 2027 prospectus is expected with the online form around March 2027.
