Yes, JCECE has negative marking. For each correct answer, +1 mark is awarded; for each wrong answer, 0.25 mark (one-fourth) is deducted. Unattempted questions get zero. Multiple marks on the OMR for a single question are treated as wrong. PCM candidates write a 2-hour paper covering Physics and Chemistry, while PCB candidates write a 1-hour paper covering Mathematics or Biology. Both groups are tested in English and Hindi medium.
