JCECE 2027 is the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination for agriculture and allied courses, conducted by JCECEB, Ranchi. It is used for admission to B.V.Sc & A.H., B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, B.Tech Agriculture Engineering, B.Tech Dairy Technology and B.F.Sc in Jharkhand. The exam is expected in July 2027.

Latest (6 October 2026): JCECEB is issuing Round 3 seat allotment letters for JCECE 2026 admissions from 6 to 12 October 2026. JCECE 2027 has not been notified yet.

How to Apply for JCECE 2027

You apply online only, on the JCECEB website jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in, once the 2027 information bulletin is out. You can submit only one form, and your group and exam centre cannot be changed after submission, so choose them carefully.

Applications for JCECE 2027 are expected in June 2027.

Open jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in and click the online application link for JCECEB 2027 on the homepage.
Register and fill in your details. Write your name and your parents’ names exactly as in your Class 10 or 12 records, without Mr, Shri or other prefixes.
Choose your subject group (PCM, PCB or PCMB) and your exam centre (Ranchi or Dumka).
Upload scans of your photograph, signature and left thumb impression, and keep your Class 12 or Intermediate mark sheet ready.
Pay the fee online by credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
Print 3 or 4 copies of the confirmation page. You do not need to post it to the Board.

These are the 2026 fees; the 2027 bulletin will confirm them. The fee is not refunded in any case. In 2026 JCECEB also opened a short form editing window after the last date.

Who can apply for JCECE 2027?

You can apply if you are an Indian citizen and a local or permanent resident of Jharkhand, and have passed (or are appearing in) 10+2 with the subjects your course needs. You must show a residential certificate from the Circle Officer, SDO (Civil) or Deputy Commissioner at counselling.

Age for B.V.Sc & A.H.: 17 to 25 years on 31 December of the admission year.
Age for all other courses: 17 to 22 years on 1 July of the admission year.
SC, ST and OBC candidates get 5 years of relaxation in the upper age limit.
Class 12 students can apply, but they must pass before counselling.
Only candidates found medically fit at the check-up are admitted.

Which courses does JCECE 2027 cover?

JCECE now covers only agriculture and allied degree courses in Jharkhand. B.Tech admission in Jharkhand uses the JEE Main state merit list, and MBBS and BDS admission uses NEET UG, so those courses are no longer part of JCECE.

What is the JCECE 2027 exam pattern?

JCECE is a one-stage offline test of objective questions with four options and one correct answer, held at centres in Ranchi and Dumka. Each subject has 50 questions of 1 mark, and 1/4 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. The paper is in English and Hindi; if a translation is unclear, the English version is final.

Is JCECE still held for B.Tech, MBBS and BDS?

No. JCECE is now only for agriculture and allied courses. B.Tech admission in Jharkhand is based on the JEE Main state merit list, and MBBS and BDS admission is based on NEET UG.

Can a PCM student get B.Sc Agriculture through JCECE?

No. B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture needs Biology in 10+2, so you must take the PCB or PCMB group. A PCM student can get B.Sc Forestry, B.Sc Horticulture, B.Tech Agriculture Engineering or B.Tech Dairy Technology.

Can students from other states apply for JCECE 2027?

No. Only Indian citizens who are local or permanent residents of Jharkhand can apply, and the residential certificate must be shown in original at counselling.

Is there re-checking of JCECE answer sheets?

No. The bulletin says there is no re-checking or re-evaluation. You can only raise objections to the provisional answer key in the window JCECEB gives after the exam.

How many rounds of JCECE counselling are there?

JCECEB runs three rounds of online counselling and may add a special round. The counselling fee in 2026 was Rs 400, or Rs 250 for SC, ST and female candidates.
