The JEE (Advanced) 2027 organising IIT will hold it only for candidates who qualify JEE (Advanced) 2027. Its 2027 dates are not announced yet; it is held a few days after that result.

The AAT 2027 dates are not announced yet, so the 2027 rows below show To be announced. In 2026 registration ran on 1 and 2 June, the test was on 4 June and results came on 7 June, all within a week of the JEE (Advanced) result.

How to Apply for JEE Advanced AAT 2027
You register for AAT 2027 online on the JEE (Advanced) 2027 candidate portal, and only after the JEE (Advanced) 2027 result shows you as qualified. The window is short: in 2026 it opened at 10:00 IST on 1 June and closed at 17:00 IST on 2 June 2026. AAT 2027 registration dates are to be announced on jeeadv.ac.in.
Apply Online for JEE Advanced AAT 2027
The JEE Advanced AAT 2027 application dates have not been announced yet.
- Take JEE Advanced 2027 and check your result on jeeadv.ac.in.
- If you qualify, open the AAT registration link on the JEE (Advanced) portal as soon as it opens.
- Log in with your JEE (Advanced) 2027 credentials and fill in the AAT registration.
- If you are a PwD candidate who needs compensatory time or a scribe, upload the required form during registration.
- Submit before the deadline and note your AAT test centre when the official centre list is published.
The official brochure does not list a separate AAT fee, so check the 2027 brochure when it is released. No separate AAT admit card is issued; your JEE (Advanced) 2027 admit card is used for the test.
Who can take the JEE Advanced AAT 2027?
Only candidates who qualify JEE (Advanced) 2027 can register for AAT 2027. There is no other way into the test, so a JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch) score alone does not make you eligible.

What is the JEE Advanced AAT 2027 exam pattern?
AAT is one 3-hour pen and paper test, with the question paper only in English. The brochure does not give a mark scheme, so the table below is taken from the official AAT question papers of 2021 to 2025, which all used the same layout.

Section A states that there is no negative marking. PwD candidates with at least 40% disability get one hour of compensatory time. The AAT 2027 syllabus explains each section in detail.
What should you carry to the AAT 2027 exam centre?
Carry a printout of your JEE (Advanced) 2027 admit card and an original photo identity card, because AAT has no admit card of its own. The test is held at the zonal IITs; in 2026 the centres were IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Bhubaneswar, Madras and Roorkee.
- Your own drawing and colouring aids, as the brochure asks candidates to bring them
- Basic geometry instruments for Section B, such as a scale, set squares and a compass
- Reach the centre well before the start; in 2026 candidates had to report by 8:00 AM for the 9:00 AM test
- Write your name, roll number and rank only in the boxes provided, put no identification mark anywhere else, and do not detach any sheet from the booklet
How is the AAT 2027 result declared and how do you get a B.Arch seat?
AAT is a pass or fail test. The Joint Implementation Committee of JEE (Advanced) fixes the pass cut-off, and there is no separate AAT rank or published cut-off mark. In 2026 the results were posted on 7 June and made available on the JoSAA portal.
B.Arch seats are then allotted through JoSAA counselling only to candidates declared PASS, in order of their category-wise JEE (Advanced) All India Rank. Only three IITs offer the 5-year B.Arch: IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee.
