JEMAT 2020 – The Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is a state-level eligibility test which is conducted by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. Eligibility criteria for JEMAT
Candidates have must ensure their eligibility criteria before applying the online application form at the official website of University. The following eligibility criteria regarding JEMAT 2020 is mention below.
- An Indian citizen with a relevant AICTE approved Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy/Architecture or appearing in the final year examination of such programs or equivalent.
- Equivalence means the candidate should be an Associate Member of a Professional of Engineers that are recognized by the Govt. of India for the purpose of admission to higher studies in Engineering. M.Sc. or final year M.Sc.
- Candidates in appropriate branches are also eligible. However, degrees acquired through any distance education program are not eligible.
- Candidates in the final year will be granted provisional admission and will have to submit their final mark –sheets before a prescribed deadline (August 31, 2020) or as may be fixed by the JEMAT Board.

JEMAT 2020 Application Form
Candidates who are interested in applying for JEMAT II 2020 can reach the official website at wbut.ac.in Application Process for JEMAT I 2020. The application form to be filled in online mode as per schedule. First of all the candidates are required to pay the fees by way of online mode. The application fee amount mentioned below as last year. The next step is to upload the scanned images of the candidate’s photograph and signature in the specified format. Once the candidate has completed the formalities related to JEMAT, they have to submit the online application forms as well. JEMAT 2020 Admit card
JEMAT 2020 Admit Card can be electronically generated for all those candidates who have successfully registered. The Admit Card carries information about the place of exam, time, date, general instructions applicable to candidates. These hall tickets are important in order to gain entrance to the venue premises. Since they are issued in online mode, candidates need not worry about physical appearance in the university. To download the admit card, you have to provide general information like- (i) Application Number and (ii) Password. Upon entering the code as displayed, you will proceed to download the admit card. In case, you forget the password, there will be an option to retrieve it back as well. There will also be a help desk where you will be able to lodge your complaints regarding JEMAT.
Result of JEMAT
The conducting body release the JEMAT 2020 scorecard for the appearing candidates on its official website as per schedule. Candidates will be able to access their rank cards by filling the asked credentials such as Application Number and Password. The candidates who would be able to secure minimum marks/ clear the cut off would be declared qualified to appear in GD/ PI rounds.
Group Discussion and Personal Interview for JEMAT
The date and Venue for the GD/PI will be announced on the JEMAT website after declaration of the results. Candidates are advised to follow the website for important notifications. JEMAT 2020 Counselling
After the released of the rank card, eligible candidates called for the counselling process as per schedule. Only those candidates who have cleared the GD and PI round will be able to attend this round. At the time counseling center, candidates have to bring the following documents with them.

- JEMAT Admit card.
- All original mark sheets and certificates with the self-attested photocopy.
- Caste/ PH certificate if applicable
- Valid photo ID proof.
- In case any dispute arises the university authority reserves the right to exercise its own discretion.
JEMAT Selection Procedure
The selection process of the JEMAT is very simple and easy to understand. Candidates first have to appear in the written exam. After the result declaration, selected candidates have to attend the GD and PI round and finally the counseling session.

The candidates can select three choices of the exam centre, in the order of preference. The applicants can choose a particular city as the first choice for appearing JEMAT 2020 examination. About MAKAUT (WBUT)
Government of West Bengal set up an expert committee on 31December 1998, under the Chairmanship of Ashesh Prasad Mitra, Eminent Scientist to explore the necessity and scope for establishment of an Engineering / Technology University in the state of West Bengal. The basic objective of the University shall be to organize undergraduate courses of study in Engineering and Technology, especially in emerging areas. The university now affiliates 160 institutions spread over 15 districts of the state of West Bengal. Postgraduate study is being carried out in 30 of them and research is being carried out for the grooming of scientists, engineers, and technologists. We have now an intake capacity of about 3000 students at the postgraduate level.
University would have a permanent main campus of approximately 40 acres of land at Haringhata, District Nadia, provided by the Government of West Bengal. Hostels have been built to accommodate students both boys and girls.
