The Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is a state-level eligibility test which is conducted by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. The JEMAT exam is a written examination which is held three times in a year for the candidates who want to take admission in MBA/ MHA/ AICTE approved PG diploma courses. The minimum qualification for admission to MBA programs through this test is a Bachelors’s degree in Arts / Science / Commerce / Engineering / Technology / Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized universities. JEMAT 2020 Admit Card
JEMAT 2020 Admit Card is electronically generated for all those candidates who have successfully registered. The Admit Card carries information about the place of exam, time, date, general instructions applicable to candidates. These hall tickets are important in order to gain entrance to the venue premises. They are issued in online mode. To download the admit card, candidates have to provide (i) Application Number and (ii) Password. Upon entering these details, one can proceed to download the admit card. In case, one forgets the password, there is an option to retrieve it back as well. There will also be a help desk where you will be able to lodge your complaints regarding JEMAT.

JEMAT 2020 Application Form
Candidates who are interested in applying for JEMAT 2020 can reach the official website at makautwb.ac.in. The application form has to be filled in online mode as per schedule.
How to apply?
- Firstly, candidates have to register themselves on the exam website by providing the basic details such as name, gender, category, DOB, mobile number, email id etc.
- The registration number is sent to candidate’s email id or mobile number. Note down the registration number.
- Login using Registration number to complete the application form.
- Enter all the details and upload photograph and signature in specified format.
- Finally, pay the application fee using an online mode of payment.
JEMAT Application Fees: The amount that the candidates have to pay is as follows. The fee has to be paid using a credit card, debit card or net banking.

- SC/ ST/PwD category- Rs. 300/-

Eligibility criteria for JEMAT 2020
Candidates must ensure their eligibility criteria before filling the online application form at the official website of University. The eligibility criteria regarding JEMAT 2020 is mentioned below.
- Candidates must be citizens of India. It is not mandatory for the candidates to be permanent citizens of West Bengal.
- Minimum educational qualification required is a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following streams: Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/ Artitectureany other professional courses from a recognized institution.

Result of JEMAT 2020
The conducting body releases the JEMAT 2020 scorecard for the appearing candidates on its official website as per schedule. Candidates are able to access their rank cards by filling the asked credentials such as Application Number and Password. The candidates who would be able to secure minimum marks/ clear the cut off would be declared qualified to appear in GD/ PI rounds.

JEMAT 2020 Counselling
After the release of the rank card, eligible candidates are called for the counselling process as per schedule. Only those candidates who have cleared the GD and PI round are able to attend this round. At the time counselling, candidates have to bring the following documents with them;

About MAKAUT (WBUT)
Government of West Bengal set up an expert committee on December 31, 1998, under the Chairmanship of Ashesh Prasad Mitra, Eminent Scientist to explore the necessity and scope for establishment of an Engineering / Technology University in the state of West Bengal. The basic objective of the University is to organize undergraduate courses of study in Engineering and Technology, especially in emerging areas. The university now affiliates 160 institutions spread over 15 districts of the state of West Bengal. Postgraduate study is being carried out in 30 of them and research is being carried out for the grooming of scientists, engineers, and technologists. The University has now an intake capacity of about 3000 students at the postgraduate level.
