JEMAT 2018 Admission– the Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is a state level eligibility test conducted under West Bengal government. The exam is conducted by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. JEMAT is a written examination which is held twice in a year and every year for candidates who want to take admission in MBA/ MHA/ AICTE approved PG diploma courses. JEMAT 2018 phase II registration process is over and candidates can now download their admit card. Any candidate who completes his under graduation in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/ Medical/ Dental/ or other professional courses or is in the final year of his graduation may be considered eligible for applying.
The candidates have to appear for a written examination comprising of 100 MCQ type questions of 100 marks. There will be questions from General English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning. 1 mark for positive answers and 0.25 marks for wrong answers. After the exam, there can be GD/ PI rounds. And lastly, counselling. The dates indicated below are indicative of what can be or maybe the schedule for JEMAT to be followed in 2018. The JEMAT exam is held twice in a year. The minimum qualification using which, the candidates are declared as qualified for applying to JEMAT is decided by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal.
- Academic requirement- Bachelor’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/ Medical/ Dental/ or other professional courses. The courses should be recognized.
- Final year appearing candidates- candidates going to appear in the final examination JEMAT 2018.
JEMAT 2018 Application procedure
Candidates who are interested in applying for JEMAT can reach the official website at jemat.eadmissions.net JEMAT 2018 The application form is to be filled in online mode. First of all the candidates are required to pay the fees by way of online mode. The amount has been mentioned above. The procedure of paying the fees has also been mentioned. The next step is to upload the scanned images of candidate’s photograph and signature in the specified format. Once the candidate has completed the formalities related to JEMAT, they have to submit the online applications forms as well. For that purpose, you need to take print of the application form and attest it with required documents.
The documents to be attested with the application form are as follows:-
- Marksheets (self-attested)
- Certificates and other testimonials
- Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) candidates.
Note- please do not forget to mention your name, the application form number and contact number on the back of the envelope.
JEMAT Application Fees: The amount that the candidates may have to pay is as follows.
- General category- Rs. 600/-
- SC/ ST/OBC category- Rs. 300/-
The application fee is to be made online using the payment gateway towards examination fees.
JEMAT Admit cards
Successfully registered are issued electronically generated hall tickets known as JEMAT Admit Cards. They carry information about the place of exam, time, date, general instructions applicable to candidates. These hall tickets are important in order to gain entrance to the venue premises. Since they are issued in online mode, candidates need not worry about physical appearance in the university. To download the admit card, you have to provide general information like- (i) Application Number and (ii) Password. Upon entering the code as displayed, you will be proceed to download the admit card. In case, you forget the password, there will be an option to retrieve it back as well. There will also be a help desk where you will be able to lodge your complaints regarding JEMAT.

JEMAT Selection Procedure
The candidates aspiring for admissions into MBA/ MHA/ AICTE should mandatorily appear for a written exam, called JEMAT. The test will be an objective type paper which consists of 100 questions of 100 marks. One question will be of 1 mark. And there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks. Candidates who receive minimum qualifying marks have to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/ PI) to be conducted by MAKAUTWB. Shortlisted candidates will attend the counseling procedure.
