JEMAT 2019 – It is contemplated that the JEMAT 2019 shall be held in the last week of October 2019 at the allotted exam centres. Candidates first have to fill the application form from the official website to appear in the entrance exam. The Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is a state level eligibility test which is conducted by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. JEMAT is a written examination which is held twice in a year for the candidates who want to take admission in MBA/ MHA/ AICTE approved PG diploma courses. After the exam, the shortlisted candidates would be GD/ PI rounds. And lastly, the creamy candidates can attempt the counselling session. Last year, the JEMAT exam has been conducted three times because of the vacant seats. We will update the new information for 2019 as soon as it will be released online. Eligibility criteria

The minimum qualification using which, the candidates are declared as qualified for applying to JEMAT is decided by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal.

  • Academic requirement- Bachelor’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/ Medical/ Dental/ or other professional courses. The courses should be recognized.
  • Final year appearing candidates- candidates going to appear in the final examination JEMAT 2019.

JEMAT 2019 Application Form

Candidates who are interested in applying for JEMAT can reach the official website at jemat.eadmissions.net. The application form will be filled in online mode. First of all the candidates are required to pay the fees by way of online mode. The amount has been mentioned below. The procedure of paying the fees has also been mentioned. The next step is to upload the scanned images of the candidate’s photograph and signature in the specified format. Once the candidate has completed the formalities related to JEMAT, they have to submit the online applications forms as well. For that purpose, you need to take print of the application form and attest it with required documents.

The documents to be attested with the application form are as follows:-

  • Marksheets (self-attested)
  • Certificates and other testimonials
  • Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) candidates.

NOTE – please do not forget to mention your name, the application form number and contact number on the back of the envelope.

JEMAT Application Fees: The amount that the candidates may have to pay is as follows.

  • General category- Rs. 600/-
  • SC/ ST/OBC category- Rs. 300/-

JEMAT 2019 Admit card

Successfully registered will issue the electronically generated hall tickets known as JEMAT Admit Card. They carry information about the place of exam, time, date, general instructions applicable to candidates. These hall tickets are important in order to gain entrance to the venue premises. Since they are issued in online mode, candidates need not worry about physical appearance in the university. To download the admit card, you have to provide general information like- (i) Application Number and (ii) Password. Upon entering the code as displayed, you will proceed to download the admit card. In case, you forget the password, there will be an option to retrieve it back as well. There will also be a help desk where you will be able to lodge your complaints regarding JEMAT.

  • Mode of Examination: Offline (Pen and Paper Based)

  • Questions Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Marking Scheme: -0.25 marks on each incorrect response, +1 marks on each correct answer
  • Sections: 3 (General English, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning)

JEMAT 2019 Result

The conducting body releases the JEMAT 2019 scorecard for the appearing candidates on its official website. Candidates can access their rank cards by filling the asked credentials such as Application Number and Password. The candidates who would be able to secure minimum marks/ clear the cut off would be declared qualified to appear in GD/ PI rounds. The list would contain the SERIAL NUMBER, REGION NUMBER, NAME OF THE CANDIDATE, DATE OF BIRTH and ROLL NUMBER.

JEMAT 2019 Counselling

The last round would be the counselling session. Only those candidates who have cleared the GD and PI round will be able to attend this round. At the time counselling centre, candidates have to bring the following documents with them.

Documents required for counseling: 

  • JEMAT 2019 scorecard
  • JEMAT Admit card.
  • All original mark sheets and certificate with the self-attested photocopy.
  • Caste/ PH certificate if applicable
  • Valid photo ID proof.
  • In case any dispute arises the university authority reserves the right to exercise its own discretion.

JEMAT Selection Procedure

The selection process of the JEMAT is very simple and easy to understand. Candidates first have to appear in the written exam. After the result declaration, selected candidates have to attend the GD and PI round and finally the counselling session.
