Jharkhand Polytechnic PECE 2026

Jharkhand Polytechnic PECE is the gateway exam for Class 10 pass students seeking Diploma in Engineering and Diploma in Technology programmes at government and private polytechnic institutions across Jharkhand. The test is conducted annually by JCECEB — the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board — and is completely different from JCECE (engineering undergraduate entrance) and the JCECE Lateral Entry examination. PECE tests candidates on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at Class 10 level. Application Form and How to Apply

JCECEB has opened the PECE 2026 application at polycet.jceceb.org.in. Candidates should complete registration before the closing date of 17 June 2026. Keep digital copies of photo, signature, thumb impression, and qualifying certificates ready before starting. The application fee is non-refundable once paid.

  1. Visit polycet.jceceb.org.in and click on “New Registration”.
  2. Enter your name, email, mobile number, and create a password.
  3. Note the Registration Number received via SMS and email.
  4. Login using the registration number and password to complete the form.
  5. Fill personal, academic, and category details accurately.
  6. Upload scanned photograph, signature, and thumb impression as per specifications.
  7. Pay the application fee via the available online payment gateway.
  8. Submit the form and download the confirmation page for records.

Eligibility Criteria

JCECEB sets specific eligibility conditions for the PECE examination. Candidates must meet every criterion to be considered for admission. The board verifies eligibility during counselling, so do not misrepresent facts in the application.

  • Educational Qualification: Class 10 or equivalent passed from a recognised board. Candidates appearing for the qualifying exam in 2026 may also apply provisionally.

  • Maximum Age: No upper age limit for all branches.

Exam Pattern

JCECEB conducts the PECE entrance test in offline pen-and-paper OMR mode. The test consists of 150 multiple-choice questions across three sections with equal weightage. Each correct answer earns +1 mark; each wrong answer carries a deduction of 0.25 marks. Unattempted questions carry no penalty. The question paper is set in both Hindi and English.

Admit Card

JCECEB will release the Jharkhand Polytechnic Admit Card 2026 a few days before the examination on polycet.jceceb.org.in. Candidates need their registered email/application number and password to download the hall ticket. No candidate is allowed entry into the examination hall without a printed admit card and valid photo ID. Carry the printout along with one original photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID/Passport) on exam day.

Answer Key and Result

After the exam on 5 July 2026, JCECEB will release the Jharkhand Polytechnic Answer Key 2026 on jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. Candidates can challenge the provisional key during the objection window.
