How to Apply for Jharkhand Polytechnic 2027
You apply for PECE 2027 online only, through the “Click Here for All Online Application Submission” link on jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. The form is not open yet. Keep your Class 10 marksheet (if passed), a recent colour photo, your signature and your thumb impression scanned and ready.
Apply Online for Jharkhand Polytechnic 2027
Applications for Jharkhand Polytechnic 2027 are expected in February 2027.
These steps follow the 2026 prospectus and should stay the same for 2027:
- Open jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in and click “Click Here for All Online Application Submission”, then choose the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) link.
- Register with your personal details, category, Aadhaar number, choice of exam centre, email ID and mobile number. Your login ID and password are sent to your mobile.
- Log in and fill in your education and communication details.
- Upload a recent colour photo with a white background (JPG, 10 KB to 100 KB) that shows your face and both ears, plus your signature and thumb impression. The photo must not be edited.
- Pay the fee online by credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
- Print the confirmation page and keep three or four copies. Do not post the printout to JCECEB.

The fee is non-refundable and bank charges are extra. You can fix mistakes only in the short correction window that follows the last date.
Who can apply for Jharkhand Polytechnic 2027?
You can apply for PECE 2027 if you are an Indian citizen, a permanent or local resident of Jharkhand, and have passed Class 10 (Matric) or an equivalent exam. Students writing Class 10 in 2027 can also apply, but must show the pass certificate at admission.
- Age: no minimum or maximum age for any branch except Mining Engineering.
- Mining Engineering: you must be at least 17 years old on 1 July of the exam year.
- Residence: you must show a local resident certificate issued by a Jharkhand circle officer, SDO or Deputy Commissioner at counselling.
- Fitness: at admission you must give a health certificate from a registered doctor.
Reservation follows the Jharkhand government policy. There are also seats for wards of ex-servicemen (SMQ) and persons with disabilities, 2% of ST seats for primitive tribal groups, and 50% of seats at Al-Kabir Polytechnic, Jamshedpur, for the Muslim community quota. BC-I and BC-II candidates need a non-creamy layer caste certificate.

PECE 2027 scores are used for first-year (first semester) admission to engineering diploma courses at these institutes in Jharkhand:
- Government polytechnics, including women’s polytechnics
- Polytechnics run in PPP mode
- Non-government (private) polytechnics
- Mechanical Engineering (Tool and Die) at the Government Mini Tool Room and Training Centre, Ranchi, and the Government Tool Room and Training Centre, Dumka
- CIPET, Ranchi, for the DPMT and DPT diplomas
JCECEB posts the institute-wise, category-wise seat list in the Download section of its website before counselling. Students who want to join a diploma directly in the second year take a separate exam, the Diploma Entrance Competitive Examination (Lateral Entry).
What is the Jharkhand Polytechnic 2027 exam pattern?
PECE is a single offline OMR exam of 150 multiple choice questions in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at Class 10 level. The paper is printed in both Hindi and English, and the 2026 exam ran from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
