It gives the current five-section, 150-question pattern and 25 sample questions, five from each section, with an answer list. Use it to see the question types before the MAT December 2026 PBT on 20 December and CBT on 27 December.

New for 2027: the AglaSem MAT Sample Paper 2027 follows the latest official pattern: 150 questions in five sections of 30 (language, reasoning, maths, data analysis and economic environment) in 2 hours, with 0.25 cut for a wrong answer. It comes with an answer key and a short solution for every question. It is an AglaSem practice paper, not an official paper.

What is the pattern of the MAT sample paper?
The sample paper explains the full MAT structure: five sections of 30 questions each, 150 questions in 120 minutes.

Each wrong answer in the real test costs 0.25 mark. AIMA notes that the samples do not necessarily show the exact type or difficulty of the actual questions.
How should I use the MAT sample paper?
- Read the test structure first so you know the five sections.
- Solve the 25 sample questions without looking at the answers, timing yourself at under a minute per question.
- Check your answers with the answer list at the end of the PDF.
- List the question types you got wrong and revise those topics.
- Then practise with full-length 150-question timed tests in your chosen mode, PBT or CBT.
Are MAT previous year question papers available?
AIMA does not publish full MAT question papers from past sessions. The official sample questions are the only paper AIMA releases, so use them together with timed practice tests.
