The Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research Post Graduation Common Entrance Test (MCAER PG CET) 2018 will probably be held in the last week of March 2018. The exam is conducted by Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board (MAUEB) for admissions in various post graduate programmes in the field of agriculture in State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) of Maharashtra.

The MCAER PG CET exam will have around 200 MCQ questions. The merit list will be prepared by considering 70% weightage of the entrance exam and 30% weightage of candidate’s CGPA score. Application Process MCAER PG CET 2018

Candidates who are eligible for PG CET 2018 exam can go through the following guidelines to apply for the exam.

  • Candidates may visit the official website mcaer.org.
  • Candidates may click on apply online and the application form will be displayed on the screen.
  • Candidates can fill their basic personal and academic details in the form.
  • After filling the basic details candidate may need to upload images of their photograph and signature as per format which would be mentioned in the brochure.
  • Candidates can through the details before submitting the application form.
  • After verifying the correctness of entries in the application form, candidates can submit the application form.
  • After submitting the application form candidates may take its print out.

Application Fee MCAER PG CET 2018

The Application fee is expected to be around Rs. 600 for the unreserved category, Rs. 300 for reserved category and Rs. 600 for students belonging to other states. The application fee may be paid online through SBI collect link available on official website. Payment can be done through State Bank ATM-cum-Debit Card / SBI Branches (Cash/Transfer) /Other Bank’s Debit Card and Credit Card / NEFT/RTS/GRPT through Branch/Internet Banking of other Banks / Online GRPT through INB/ATM Card of our Associate Banks / Mobile Banking and Self Service Kiosk.

Admit Card MCAER PG CET 2018

The candidates whose applications will be accepted would be able to download the admit card once the admit card is released online on the official website. Admit card might be available on the official website macer.org from 2nd week of March 2018. Candidates may take a printout of their admit card. Candidates may need to carry their admit cards along with a valid proof to the exam centre.

Exam Pattern

The Exam will probably be of 200 marks. The paper will have around 200 MCQs in the paper which are to be attempted in a span of 120 minutes (2 hours). Each question will carry 1 mark. There shall be no negative marking in the exam.

Result

The result of MCAER PG CET 2018 might be announced on 2nd week of April 2018. The merit list will have candidate’s application no. and marks scored out of 100. The admissions in MCAER PG admissions will be given on the basis of merit which might consider 70% weightage MCAER PG CET 2018 and 30% weightage of candidate’s CGPA score. The candidates with their names in the merit list can appear for the counselling process.

Counselling

The postgraduate admissions will be based on merit as per the marks obtained in CET exam. The notification will be issued by Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research on their official website. Seat allotment will be as per the merit of the candidate. Candidates may have to visit their allotted institute once they have secured a seat in that institute along with their scorecard and other necessary documents.
