How to Download the Answer Key

Candidates can follow the steps below to download the official MCAER PG CET Answer Key 2026 from the MAUEB portal.

  1. Visit the official website mcaer.org.
  2. Click on “Recent News” on the homepage.
  3. Locate the “All Streams Answer Key for PG CET 2026” link (or similar subject-wise links).
  4. The PDF opens in a new tab with question numbers, version codes, and correct answers across all streams.
  5. Save the answer key PDF for the subject CET you appeared in.
  6. Compare your responses with the official key to compute your probable score.
  7. If you believe any answer is incorrect, raise an objection within the prescribed window with supporting evidence and the per-question fee.

How to Calculate Probable Score

Because there is no negative marking in the MCAER PG CET, candidates can self-calculate a fairly accurate probable score directly from the answer key. Use the steps below.

  • Match each of your recorded responses with the official answer key for your version / paper code.
  • Award 1 mark for every correct answer (each question carries 1 mark).
  • Do not deduct marks for incorrect or unattempted answers; there is no negative marking.
  • Add the correct answers across all 200 questions to get the raw score out of 200.
  • Treat the score as indicative only; the official result is computed using the final answer key after objection review, and the final merit also factors in 30% UG CGPA along with 70% of the CET score.

How to Raise Objections

If a candidate believes a question or its answer key entry is incorrect, MAUEB allows challenges through a formal objection window. The general process is as follows.

  • Log in to the candidate portal at mcaer.org within the objection window announced by MAUEB.
  • Click on “Objection Tracking / Challenge Answer Key” for the relevant subject CET.
  • Select the question number to be challenged and the response option believed to be correct.
  • Type a clear explanation of why the official answer is incorrect.
  • Upload supporting documents such as textbook pages, standard reference material, or published official solutions.
  • Pay the prescribed objection fee per question through online payment.
  • Submit the challenge and note the reference number for tracking.
  • MAUEB reviews valid objections with subject experts before publishing the final answer key and the merit list.

Provisional vs Final Answer Key

The provisional answer key released in April 2026 was open to candidate challenges through the official portal during the brief objection window. After reviewing all valid objections with subject experts, MAUEB published the final answer key. The final answer key, which incorporates any accepted revisions, is used to compute the score, percentile, and merit rank in the official result. If any answer is revised or a question is dropped, all candidates whose responses match the corrected key receive revised marks. No further objections are entertained against the final answer key.

The MCAER PG CET Answer Key 2026 is published faculty-wise (subject-wise) since the question paper varies by subject. Answer keys are released for each of the following faculties.
