NEE 2020 was first set for 18 and 19 April 2020 but was postponed because of the COVID-19 lockdown. After more than one revised schedule, NERIST held the papers in October 2020.

What is the pattern of the NEE-I 2020 paper?
125 multiple choice questions for 150 marks in 3 hours: 35 Physics and 35 Chemistry questions of 1 mark, and 55 Mathematics questions, of which 25 carry 2 marks.
Was there negative marking in NEE-I 2020?
Yes. The cover says a quarter (25%) of a question’s marks is deducted for every wrong answer, and blank answers lose nothing.
