What is in the NERIST NEE-I syllabus?
NEE-I (paper code 10) tests Class 10 level Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for the Certificate Module. There is no English or General Knowledge section.

What is in the NERIST NEE-II science syllabus?
NEE-II science papers test Class 11 and 12 topics. Physics and Chemistry are common to all three science papers. The PCM papers add Mathematics and the PCB Forestry paper adds Biology.

What is in the NERIST NEE-II BBA syllabus?
NEE-II BBA (paper code 50) is an aptitude test with four sections of one-mark questions. The mathematics is at Class 6 to 10 level.

What is in the NERIST NEE-III syllabus?
NEE-III is for diploma holders. Sections A to C are compulsory for all. In Section D you answer only the branch that matches your diploma and the code on your admit card.

Every paper carries 150 marks and lasts 3 hours, with multiple choice questions marked on an OMR sheet.

How should you prepare for the NERIST NEE 2027 syllabus?
Start from the topic list of your own paper, since each NEE paper has a different syllabus and marks split.
- NEE-I: Mathematics carries 80 of 150 marks, so give it the most time, especially the 2-mark questions.
- NEE-II PCM and PCB: Mathematics or Biology carries 60 marks, more than Physics or Chemistry at 45 each.
- NEE-II BBA: practise timed English, aptitude and reasoning sets and follow current affairs.
- NEE-III: the branch section is worth 70 marks, almost half the paper, so revise your diploma core subjects well.
- Skip questions you are unsure of, since a wrong 2-mark answer costs you half a mark.

NERIST NEE Syllabus 2027 FAQs
Is there an English section in NERIST NEE-II?
Only in the BBA paper. The NEE-II PCM and PCB papers have just three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology.
Is the NEE-II PCM Science syllabus different from the Engineering paper?
No. Both use the same Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics topics. The Science paper (code 40) has 50 one-mark questions in each subject, while the Engineering paper (code 20) mixes 1-mark and 2-mark questions.
Can I choose any branch in NEE-III Section D?
No. You must answer the branch that matches your diploma and the paper code on your admit card. All six branch sections are printed in one question paper.
Will the NERIST NEE 2027 syllabus change?
NERIST will publish the 2027 syllabus in the NEE 2027 information brochure, expected in January 2027. Until then, use the 2026 brochure.
