Forgot NIFT Application Number? Recover It With These Steps
To download the admit card, 6 digit application number is a mandatory requirement. However, at times, it is misplaced. If this is the case with you, then follow the steps below, to recover it.
Step 1 – The application number is mentioned in the application form confirmation page. Candidates can download it from the login.

Step 2 – Following the step above, a new login appears on the screen. It looks as shown below:

Step 3 – Candidates can access this login, by entering e-mail id and date of birth.
Step 4 – Next, the candidates have to click on the blue “Submit” button.
After this, the candidates can view / download application form confirmation page of NIFT admission 2020 from the dashboard.
Note: The entered e-mail id and date of birth should be the same as that used during the application process.
How to Download NIFT 2020 Admit Card?
Candidates can only download NIFT admit card online, from the official login. There is no other way to get it. The step by step process to download the admit card is as follows:
Step 1 – First of all, click on the login link available above.
Step 2 – The link leads to a login, as shown below. To access this login, enter:
- 6 Digit Application Number.
- Date of Birth.
- E-mail Id.

Step 3 – After entering all the details correctly, the candidates need to check it all and when sure that it is correct click on the grey “Submit” button.
Step 4 – Lastly, the candidates can download the NIFT 2020 admit card from the login.
On the exam day, candidates can have to carry hard copy of NIFT admit card. However, candidates shall also need it during the final admission. Hence, it is advised that the candidates keep it safe as a soft copy as well.

Things to Carry with NIFT 2020 Admit Card
Definitely, admit card of NIFT is an important document. However, other than the admit card, the candidates also need to carry the following:
Valid Id Proof: Candidates need to carry one original id proof to the exam hall. It can be any of the following:
- Aadhaar card
- Voter id card
- Pan card
- Driving license
- Student id card
- Passport, etc.
Stationary: According to the examination, candidates also need to carry few stationary. These are:
- Pen
- Pencil
- Drawing stationery.

GATE 2020 Admit Card Frequently Asked Questions
Ans : No.With the admit card candidates have to bring original and valid photo Identity Document, which was specified during the filling up of the online application. For Indian candidates, only following identification cards will be accepted: Passport, PAN card, Voter ID, Aadhaar-UID, College ID, Employee ID and Driving License. For International candidates, only a valid Passport/Government issued ID/College ID/Employee ID will be accepted as the recognized identification.
Ans : No. Hard copy (printed in color) of the Admit Card must be brought to the examination centre along with at least one original (not photocopied/scanned copy) and valid (not expired) Identity Document (ID), which was specified during the filling up of the online application.
Ans : A scribble pad will be provided to the candidate that can be used to do the rough work. The candidate has to return the scribble pad after the examination.
Ans : No. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the GATE 2020 examination hall for any reason during the examination. Candidates are allowed to leave the examination hall only after the scheduled end of the examination.
Ans : Only GATE admit card, Id card and a pen is permitted to be taken inside the examination hall. Mobile phones, physical calculators, wristwatches, or any other electronic items are not permitted inside the examination hall. If a candidate brings any of these items, they have to be kept outside the examination hall at the candidate’s own risk. If the candidate is found to be in possession of these items they will be disqualified.
Ans : No. During the online GATE 2020 examination, all candidates will be provided with a virtual scientific calculator which has to be used to answer the questions. Mobile phones, physical calculators, wristwatches, or any other electronic items are not permitted inside the examination hall.
Ans : No. Such arrangements will not be made at the examination centre of GATE 2020. If a candidate brings personal belongings including mobile phones, they have to be kept outside the examination hall at the candidate\'s own risk. The GATE officials are not responsible for the safe keeping of your personal items.
