The PU CET PG syllabus 2027 is course-wise: each paper tests the bachelor’s-level subject of the course you apply for, as set out in the Panjab University prospectus. Most papers have 75 MCQs in 90 minutes, with a quarter mark cut for each wrong answer. The 2027 prospectus is expected in May 2027.

What does the PU CET PG 2027 syllabus cover?
The PU CET PG syllabus covers the bachelor’s-level subject of each course, so there is no common syllabus for all candidates. The prospectus gives each course’s eligibility and scheme of test together. For M.Sc. (Hons. School) papers, questions follow the Panjab University B.Sc. syllabus of all three years in that subject.

What is the PU CET PG 2027 exam pattern and marking scheme?
Each PU CET PG paper lasts 90 minutes, and on OMR papers your score is correct answers minus one quarter of wrong answers. Unattempted questions get no marks.

Master of Social Work and M.Sc. (Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering) have no negative marking. M.A. English, M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication and M.A. History are not OMR papers and include written answers, such as an essay.

The syllabus is part of the PU-CET (P.G.) prospectus PDF on cetpg.puchd.ac.in, in the section on eligibility conditions and scheme of tests. The prospectus also has sample questions for many courses. The 2027 prospectus is expected with the application form in May 2027.

How should you prepare for PU CET PG 2027?
- Read the scheme of test for your exact course in the prospectus, as each course is different.
- Revise your bachelor’s textbooks for the subject; M.Sc. papers follow the Panjab University B.Sc. syllabus.
- Solve the sample questions in the prospectus and past papers under a 90-minute limit.
- Skip questions you are unsure of, because a wrong answer costs a quarter mark on OMR papers.
- Practise without a calculator, since calculators are not allowed in any paper.
