PU CET PG 2027 is the PU-CET (P.G.) entrance test that Panjab University, Chandigarh holds for admission to its M.Sc., M.A., M.Com, MCA, LL.M. and other postgraduate courses. Each course has its own 90-minute pen and paper test. Dates are not out yet; the test is expected in June 2027.

Panjab University has not announced the PU CET PG 2027 schedule yet, so the dates below are expected months based on 2026, when forms opened on 8 May and the test ran from 19 to 21 June.

How to Apply for PU CET PG 2027
You apply for PU CET PG 2027 online at cetpg.puchd.ac.in, where Panjab University publishes the prospectus and form, expected in May 2027. The steps and fee below follow the 2026 prospectus.
Apply Online for PU CET PG 2027
Applications for PU CET PG 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- Go to cetpg.puchd.ac.in and submit your basic details to generate a login ID and password.
- Log in and choose the course (or courses) you want to take the test for.
- Pay the entrance test fee online. Online payment is the only mode.
- Upload your photograph and signature, fill in the rest of the form and submit it by the last date.
- SC, ST and PwD candidates and PU employees claiming a fee concession send the form printout with documents to the Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh by the notified date.

The fee is not refunded or transferred. If you apply for more than one course, check the date sheet so that your papers do not clash.
How to log in to the PU CET PG 2027 candidate portal?
You log in to the PU CET PG portal with the login ID and password emailed to you at registration, to pay the entrance test fee, complete and confirm your form with your photograph and signature, print the form, and download your admit card.
- Open the official PU CET PG login page. It still shows the 2026 cycle; the 2027 login IDs are issued only when registration opens, expected in May 2027.
- Enter the login ID that Panjab University emailed to you after you submitted your basic details.
- Enter your password and the captcha shown on the page, then click Sign In.
- Your account opens with the fee payment and candidate form links, and later the admit card download link.
- Before the last date, check every detail and confirm (lock) the form; you cannot change it after that.
Forgot your password? Click the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page and enter your application number, registered email ID, mobile number and date of birth exactly as in your form to reset it. Forgot your application number? Click “Recover your Application Number?” and enter your registered email ID.
Who can apply for PU CET PG 2027?
You can apply if you hold, or are completing, the bachelor’s degree that your chosen course asks for. Each course has its own rule, and most ask for 50% marks with a 5% concession for SC, ST, BC and PwD candidates. Some examples from the 2026 prospectus:

- Degrees from universities declared fake by the UGC, or derecognised by Panjab University, are not accepted.
- Eligibility is checked only at admission. Clearing the test does not by itself give you a seat.
Which courses does PU CET PG 2027 cover?
PU CET PG covers about 40 postgraduate courses at Panjab University departments, its regional centres and some affiliated colleges. These were the courses in 2026; the 2027 list will be in the new prospectus.
- Law and computing: LL.M. and MCA
- Commerce and management: M.Com. (Hons.), M.Com. Business Economics, Business Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Family Business, and MBA for Executives
- Arts and social sciences: M.A. English, Economics, History, Geography, Journalism and Mass Communication, Master of Social Work, Master in Public Health, Disaster Management and Geo-informatics
- M.Sc. (Hons. School): Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science (Data Science), Geology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Physics (Electronics), Statistics and Zoology
- M.Sc. (2-year): Environment Science, Forensic Science, Human Genomics, Medical Physics, Microbial Biotechnology, Nuclear Medicine, Instrumentation, Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering, System Biology and Bioinformatics, and Renewable Energy and Smart Materials

What is the PU CET PG 2027 exam pattern?
Most PU CET PG papers have 75 multiple choice questions of one mark each, answered on an OMR sheet in 90 minutes. This is the 2026 pattern, which is expected to continue. See the PU CET PG 2027 syllabus for what each paper covers.
