PU CET PG 2018 is conducted by Punjab University for admission to various Postgraduate courses. The candidates are granted admission to various courses in Law, Management, Engineering, Health & Sciences, Arts & Humanities, etc. It is mandatory for candidates to appear for PU CET 2018 in order to gain admission to the desired PG course at Punjab University for the academic session 2018. The prospectus for PU CET PG 2018 shall be available as per dates decided by the university.

The registration form for PU CET PG 2018 will be available online at cetpg.puchd.ac.in. Aspirants need to fill in the basic information in the registration form and submit. Only after submitting the details, the candidates will receive their Login credentials and can download the Bank challan for making payment for the application fee. To appear for the entrance test, PU CET PG 2018, candidates need to download and take print out of the test and show it at the examination center. The result will be declared online only. PU CET (PG) 2018 Eligibility Criteria

L.L.M. One-Year and Two-Year Course

Should possess an LL.B. 3 Year Degree/ B.A. LL.B. / B.Com. LL.B. 5 Year degree or equivalent from this University with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates)


Should possess a first degree of minimum three Years‘ duration in any discipline OR B.C.A OR any equivalent examination from Panjab University with at least 50% marks.

M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication

Should possess a Bachelor‘s degree with at least 45% marks in the subject of Journalism and Mass Communication or Bachelor‘s degree in any subject obtaining at least 50% marks in the aggregate of this University OR should have completed BA/BSc. with Honours in Journalism and Mass Communication OR Master‘s Degree examination in any subject or an equivalent examination thereto.

Master in Public Health

Should possess a Bachelor‘s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from recognized University/ Institute.

M.A. (English)

Should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in with minimum 45% to 50% aggregate marks.

Master in Public Health

  1. Duration of the exam: 1 hour and 30 minutes

The pattern of the CET should be as follows:

  • Write at least two paragraphs (total 400 words) on any of the one given topics/issues – 30 marks
  • Critical appreciation of a poem – 25 marks
  • Four short notes (approx 100 words) based on Topics related to literature – 20 Marks

MA (Geography) / Masters in Remote Sensing & GIS / Masters in Disaster Management / M.E. (Food Technology) / M.E. (Chemical with specialization in Environmental Engineering) / M.TECH. (POLYMER) /

PU CET PG 2018 Application Form

  1. The application will be available online at the Punjab University website, cetpg.puchd.ac.in
  2. Aspirants can apply for more than one course. If the candidate wishes to apply for more than three courses, they will have to pay an additional amount of Rs. 300 per subject.
  3. Before paying the application fee, aspirants need to register online by entering the basic information such as:
    • Name of the Applicant
    • Date of Birth
    • Valid Email ID
    • Graduation Registration Number
    • Passing Year
    • Mobile Number
    • Category
    • Choose if the candidate wants to apply for more than one course
    • Select if the applicant is or either is their Parents Class B or C Regular Employee of P.U.
  4. After entering all the details, submit them by clicking on “Submit” button.
  5. On submitting the registration details, applicants will receive an Application Number, Login ID, and Password
  6. Download the Bank Slip and deposit the fee minimum one day after printing of bank slip.
  7. Using the Login ID and Password, upload a scanned photograph, signature and other important information.
  8. Submit the application form and take a print out of it for future reference.

For the additional subject, applicants need to pay an amount of Rs. 300 per subject.

PU CET PG 2018 Admit Card

The PU CET PG 2018 Admit Card can be downloaded from the University’s website. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the Login ID and Password. The PUCET PG 2018 Admit Card will consist of the personal details of the candidate and basic information about the exam such as date, timings, and venue. The candidates will be allowed inside the examination center only after showing the hard copy of the admit card.

PU CET PG 2018 Result

The result for PU CET PG 2018 will be uploaded online only. After the result is declared, candidates have to download their rank card from the Panjab University’s website. No rank card will be sent to candidates individually through post.

PU CET PG 2018 Merit List

The University will publish a Merit List of the candidates for all courses on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam. The final merit for PU CET PG 2018 shall be made by the concerned Department/Institute/ Center on consideration of various admission criteria and weightage.

PU CET PG 2018 Counselling

The candidates who will make the merit list will be allowed to participate in the PU CET PG 2018 Counselling. The schedule for counseling will be uploaded on the Online Notice Board and also on the physical notice board of the department concerned. It is mandatory for candidates to be physically present for the PU CET PG Counselling 2018. At the time of counseling, the candidate must bring all the original documents.
