PU LLB 2027 is the PU-LL.B. (3 Years) Entrance Test that Panjab University, Chandigarh holds for admission to the three-year LL.B. at its Department of Laws and three regional centres. It is a 100-mark pen and paper test held only in Chandigarh. Dates are not out yet; the test is expected in June 2027.

How to Apply for PU LLB 2027
You apply for PU LLB 2027 online at pglaw.puchd.ac.in, where Panjab University publishes the prospectus and form, expected in May 2027. The steps and fee below follow the 2026 prospectus.
Apply Online for PU LLB 2027
Applications for PU LLB 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- Go to pglaw.puchd.ac.in and register with your basic details.
- Check your email for the login ID and password.
- Log in and pay the entrance test fee online.
- Upload your photograph and signature, fill in the remaining details, then save and confirm the form. Nothing can be changed after you confirm, including your category.
- SC, ST and PwD candidates and PU employees claiming a fee concession send the printout with documents to the Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh by the notified date.

The fee is not refunded. If you submit more than one form, only one is considered.
How to log in to the PU LLB 2027 candidate portal?
You log in to the PU LLB portal with the login ID and password sent to you at registration to pay the entrance test fee, upload your photo and signature, complete and confirm the form, and download your admit card.
- Open the official login page on pglaw.puchd.ac.in. It still shows the 2026 test; the PU LLB 2027 login opens there with registration, expected in May 2027.
- New candidates first fill the online registration form. Note your application number, login ID and password, which are also emailed to you. The login ID and password are case sensitive.
- Enter your login ID, password and the captcha shown, then click Sign In.
- Your account opens with the fee payment step and the link to complete the form. Upload your photograph and signature, check every detail, then confirm and print the form.
- Log in again when admit cards are released (from 23 June in 2026) to download and print your admit card.
Forgot your password? Click “Forgot your password?” on the login page and enter your application number, email ID, mobile number and date of birth exactly as you gave them at registration. If you have lost your application number, use the “Recover your Application Number?” link, which asks for your registered email ID.
Who can apply for PU LLB 2027?
You can apply if you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline with at least 45% aggregate marks from Panjab University or another university recognised by the Bar Council of India and Panjab University. SC, ST, BC and PwD candidates get a 5% concession, so they need 40%.
- Final-year students who are appearing in their qualifying degree exam can also apply.
- Degrees from universities declared fake by the UGC, and from universities derecognised by Panjab University, are not accepted.
- Eligibility is checked only at admission. Clearing the test does not by itself give you a seat.
These rules are from the 2026 prospectus and are expected to stay the same for 2027.

PU LLB fills 480 regular LL.B. seats across four Panjab University campuses, plus a few extra seats for a single girl child or one of two girl children (SGC/OGC).

What is the PU LLB 2027 exam pattern?
PU LLB is a 90-minute OMR test of 100 multiple choice questions for 100 marks, with a quarter mark cut for each wrong answer. This is the 2026 pattern, which is expected to continue. See the PU LLB 2027 syllabus for what each part covers.
