The Panjab University, Chandigarh conducts the PU LLB 2018 Entrance Exam for admissions to the LLB (Bachelor of Laws) Three Year programme. There are four law departments that are affiliated to the Panjab University. The law aspirants who have completed their graduation with any recognized Bachelor’s degree or if even are in the process of completing the same are eligible to apply for LLB admissions through PU LLB 2018.

Candidates will not simply become eligible for admissions to the LLB courses by appearing for the Panjab University LLB Entrance Test. They will need to satisfy all the eligibility conditions applicable for admissions and should also clear the Cut Off scores in the PU LLB Entrance Test. PU LLB 2018 Exam Date Notification

As per the notification, PU LLB 2018 will be held on 17th June 2018.

PU LLB 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Should have obtained Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks (5% concession shall be given to SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates) in aggregate from the Panjab University or any other University recognized by the Bar Council of India and Panjab University.

If there is a case that the candidate has obtained Bachelor‟s degree of this University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate, through Modern Indian Languages Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi (Gurmukhi script) and/or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit or Persian or Arabic), then aggregate of 45% marks shall be calculated by taking into account the percentage of the aggregate marks that he/she had secured at the language examination, excluding the marks for the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together .

PU LLB 2018 Application form

Interested applicants can apply online on the official website of the University. You can also apply by clicking on the direct link provided in this page. Candidates first need to register online and create a Login ID and password using ‘New candidate Registration’. Note down the Login ID and Password details. Next, Login using your Login Id and Password and fill the application form online itself. Upload scanned copies of Photograph and signature as per the specified prescription.

PU LLB 2018 Admit Card

The Admit Card for PU LLB 2018 will be released through online mode. The PU LLB 2018 Admit card will be the Roll Number slip which will contain the details about the candidate’s entrance exam Roll Number and the exam date, time and venue. Candidates can download their PU LLB Admit Card 2018 from their respective Login account through which they filled the PU LLB Application Form. It will be mandatory for exam takers to bring their admit card or else they will not be allowed to sit for the exam.

PU LLB 2018 Exam Pattern

The PU LLB Entrance Test will be of duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes. The Entrance Test will consist of multiple-choice questions of 100 marks. The medium of objective type questions will be in Hindi and Punjabi also. The questions to be asked in the entrance test will be based upon following three components:

Marking scheme

One mark will be awarded for every correct answer and there shall be a negative marking of 1/4th for every wrong answers.

PU LLB 2018 Answer Key

The PU LLB 2018 Answer Key will be released four to five days after the examination will be conducted. The answer key will be released by the Panjab University. The Answer Key of the PUCHD LLB Entrance Exam will be extremely useful for the candidates as with the help of answer key, candidates can cross-check their answers in the exam with that in the answer key. With the help of answer key, candidates can estimate their probable score and can know their chances of clearing the entrance test. The scores should be calculated as per the marking scheme provided by the University.

PU LLB 2018 Result

The PU LLB 2018 Result will be declared in online mode by the Panjab University. The tentative schedule for declaring the result is few days after the release of the PU LLB Answer Key. the result will be published online only. No separate result card will be sent to candidates. Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks marks obtained in the entrance test and the qualifying examination, i.e. in a ratio of 50:50.

Selected candidates will have to appear or participate in the counselling session as per the schedule. If any candidate is not present physically for the counselling session, he/she will not be considered for admission or counseling in the subsequent rounds. At the time of counselling, selected candidates will have to carry the prescribed documents in original.
