PUMEET 2027 is the Panjab University Migration Engineering Entrance Test, held by Panjab University, Chandigarh for students who have finished the first year of B.E. or B.Tech and want to move into the second year at UIET, Dr SSB UICET, UIET Hoshiarpur or CCET. It is not announced yet; if held, the test is expected in June 2027.

PUMEET 2027 Important Dates
Panjab University has not announced PUMEET 2027, so the dates below are expected months based on 2026, when the prospectus came out on 29 April, the test was held on 14 June and the result came on 1 July.

How to Apply for PUMEET 2027
You apply for PUMEET online at pumeet.puchd.ac.in, where Panjab University posts the prospectus and form, expected in April 2027 if the test is held. The steps and fee below follow the 2026 prospectus.
Apply Online for PUMEET 2027
Applications for PUMEET 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Go to pumeet.puchd.ac.in and open Online Registration.
- Submit your basic details to generate your login ID and password. In 2026 the last date for this step was 27 May.
- Log in and pay the entrance test fee online, the only payment mode. The 2026 fee deadline was 29 May.
- Upload your photograph and signature, fill in the rest of the form and submit it. In 2026 this had to be done by 1 June.
- SC, ST and PwD candidates and PU employees claiming a fee concession send the form printout with documents to the Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh by the notified date (3 June in 2026).

The fee is not refunded. After you submit the form, no detail can be changed, not even your category, so check it carefully first.
How to log in to the PUMEET 2027 candidate portal?
The PUMEET candidate portal is where you pay the fee, finish your form with your photograph and signature, and later download your Roll No. slip (admit card), using the login ID and password you get at registration.
- Open the official PUMEET login page. It still shows the 2026 cycle; new login IDs will be issued only when registration opens, if PUMEET 2027 is held.
- Type the login ID you received after submitting your basic details.
- Type your password and the captcha code, then click Sign In.
- Inside your account you see the fee payment and form links, and closer to the test the Roll No. slip download link.
- Check every detail before the last date, as the form is locked once submitted.
Lost your password? Click “Forgot your password?” on the login page and give your application number, registered email ID, mobile number and date of birth. Lost your application number? Click “Recover your Application Number?” and give your registered email ID.
Who can apply for PUMEET 2027?
You can apply if you have done the first year of B.E. or B.Tech with at least 60% aggregate marks and appeared in JEE Main in the previous session. These are the 2026 rules; a 2027 prospectus may change them.
- Your first year must be from an engineering institute or university recognised by Panjab University. Students already in PU campus or PU-affiliated engineering institutes can apply too.
- You need at least 60% aggregate marks in the first year with no failed subject.
- You must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics and Physics.
- You must have appeared in JEE Main of the previous session. For PUMEET 2026 this meant JEE Main 2025.
- Candidates who still have a reappear when they report for counselling are not eligible.
PUMEET is not a lateral entry test for diploma holders. Diploma holders apply through PULEET, the separate Panjab University lateral entry test.
Which colleges and seats are offered through PUMEET 2027?
PUMEET fills second-year B.E. seats that fell vacant in the first year, so the number changes every year. The 2026 prospectus showed 153 tentative vacant seats at three Panjab University institutes and none at CCET.

Seats go to PUMEET candidates first, and those left after all eligible PUMEET candidates are offered to PULEET. The seat matrix is updated before each counselling round; in 2026 it was put up on 3 August and again on 11 August.
What is the PUMEET 2027 exam pattern?
PUMEET has 100 multiple choice questions of one mark each, answered on an OMR sheet in 1 hour 40 minutes. This is the 2026 pattern, which is expected to continue. The PUMEET 2027 syllabus lists the topics of each subject.

To get a rank you need at least 15% marks (10% for SC, ST, PwD and BC candidates). Solving PUMEET previous year question papers is the best way to get used to the mix of subjects.
