The PUMEET sample paper is the set of 14 official sample questions that Panjab University prints at the end of its prospectus. They cover Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, electrical and mechanical engineering, units and English grammar. Use them with full past papers to practise for PUMEET 2027, expected in June 2027 if held.

What pattern should a PUMEET practice paper follow?
Practise to the 2026 pattern: 100 multiple choice questions in 1 hour 40 minutes, with Mathematics 30, Physics 20, Chemistry 20, General Engineering 20 and Communication Skills 10.
Each correct answer gets 1 mark and each wrong answer loses 1/4 mark. Calculators are not allowed.
How should you use the PUMEET sample paper?
- Read the PUMEET syllabus so you know all five sections.
- Try the sample questions to see the level of each subject.
- Then sit a full past paper in one 1 hour 40 minute stretch with a timer.
- Score yourself: +1 for a correct answer and -1/4 for a wrong one.
- Revise the topics behind every question you got wrong or guessed.
Sample paper or previous year papers: which should you solve?
Solve both. The sample paper has only 14 questions, so most of your practice should come from the PUMEET previous year question papers, which are full 100-question papers with answer keys.
