PUMEET previous year question papers for Panjab University’s migration test into second-year B.E./B.Tech are here for 2019 and every year from 2021 to 2026, seven papers, each with its answer key. The test has 100 one-mark questions in 1 hour 40 minutes across Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, General Engineering and Communication Skills, with a quarter mark cut for a wrong answer, so the 2026 and 2025 papers are the closest match if PUMEET 2027 is held in June 2027 as expected.

What a PUMEET Paper Looks Like
The 2026 paper, from the test of 14 June 2026 (10:00 to 11:40 AM), puts its 100 questions in fixed subject blocks, and the Set A key was posted the same day with no question dropped. Mathematics and General Engineering together make up half of the paper.
| Subject | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | 1–30 (30) | 30 |
| Physics | 31–50 (20) | 20 |
| Chemistry | 51–70 (20) | 20 |
| General Engineering | 71–90 (20) | 20 |
| Communication Skills | 91–100 (10) | 10 |
How to Use PUMEET Previous Year Papers?
- Finish in 100 minutes. That is exactly one minute a question. Spend about 30 minutes on Mathematics and keep 10 for Communication Skills.
- Skip blind guesses. A wrong answer costs a quarter mark. Once you are down to two options, a guess is worth about +0.375 marks on average, so guess only then.
- Solve 2026 and 2025 first. Their Set A keys are clean, with no questions dropped. In older keys, give yourself the mark for any question marked X (5 in 2019 and 2023, 3 in 2022).
- Revise first-year engineering. General Engineering has 20 questions from your first-year B.E./B.Tech subjects, which school-level practice does not cover.
- Watch for the 2027 notice. A March 2026 press release said PUMEET admissions would stop from 2026-27, but the 2026 test was still held. Keep practising and check for the 2027 prospectus, expected in April 2027.
