AIMA UGAT (Under Graduate Aptitude Test) is a national paper-based entrance test conducted once a year by the All India Management Association (AIMA). AIMA UGAT 2027 Important Dates
AIMA has not published the UGAT 2027 schedule yet. In 2026 registration closed on 6 June and the test was held on 14 June 2026, so UGAT 2027 is expected in June 2027.

How to Apply for AIMA UGAT 2027
You apply online on the AIMA UGAT portal at apps.aima.in. The UGAT 2027 form is not open yet; the steps below are from the 2026 process, where you create a login, fill the form, upload a photo and signature, pay the fee and pick up to five institutes to receive your score.
Apply Online for AIMA UGAT 2027
Applications for AIMA UGAT 2027 are expected in June 2027.
- Open the UGAT online registration portal and click Fresh Candidate to create a login with a valid email ID and your date of birth.
- Log in again with your email ID and date of birth and fill the application form in English. Save it as you go.
- Upload a recent colour passport-size photo and your signature in black ink on white paper, each a JPG of up to 50 KB.
- Choose up to five participating institutes (by their MI code) that should receive your UGAT score.
- Pay the fee by debit card, credit card or net banking, or register with a demand draft in favour of All India Management Association, payable at Delhi.
- Note the six-digit form number you get after payment and print your final application form for your records.

You do not need to post the printout of the form to AIMA. The admit card is not sent by post or email either, so keep checking the AIMA website.
Who can apply for AIMA UGAT 2027?
Anyone who has passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent exam from a recognised board can apply, and students appearing in Class 12 can apply too.
- There is no age limit for UGAT.
- AIMA sets no minimum Class 12 percentage, but each participating institute has its own admission rules. Check them before you choose institutes.
- AIMA advises candidates to check the approval or recognition status of each programme directly with the institute, because a few institutes have not accepted UGAT scores in the past.
What is the AIMA UGAT 2027 exam pattern?
UGAT is an objective, multiple-choice paper-based test. Each question carries one mark and marks are deducted for wrong answers, so avoid blind guessing.

- You mark answers on an OMR answer sheet with a blue or black ballpoint pen. An answer once darkened cannot be changed.
- In 2026 the test ran from 9:00 to 11:00 AM for BBA, BCA and IMBA candidates and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon for BHM candidates.
- If you apply for both BHM and the other courses, you take the BHM paper, and your scores in sections 1 to 4 are reported separately for BBA, BCA and IMBA admission.
- AIMA has not stated the exact deduction for a wrong answer.
What is the AIMA UGAT 2027 syllabus?
AIMA does not publish a detailed topic-wise syllabus for UGAT. The official sample questions show what each section tests:
- English Language: reading comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, sentence formation and word usage.
- Numerical and Data Analysis: arithmetic word problems, basic geometry and reading data from tables.
- Reasoning and Intelligence: series, coding-decoding, spatial diagrams and similar puzzles.
- General Knowledge: general awareness questions on countries, institutions, books and authors.
- Service Aptitude (BHM only): how you would act in everyday service and people situations.
- Scientific Aptitude (BHM only): basic school-level physics, chemistry and biology.
How do institutes use the UGAT score?
AIMA sends your score and details to the institutes you chose in the form, and you also get a personal scorecard that you can show at any participating institute.
- Each institute fixes its own cut-off and may call you for further rounds before admission.
- For most institutes a UGAT score is valid only for that admission session.
- 27 institutes were listed for UGAT 2026 (as on 19 May 2026), including GITAM University, KIIT School of Management, Sharda University, Alliance University and NICMAR University.
- In 2026 the test was held in 21 cities, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur and Lucknow. A centre opens only if enough candidates register for it.
