WBJEE EVETS 2019 Admit Card

WBJEE EVETS 2019 Admit Card is released by WBJEEB on its official website. All those candidates who had submitted their WBJEE EVETS 2019 application form online and had received confirmation regarding the same, can find the download link of the EVETS 2019 Admit Card over student’s login portal. All the candidates need to carry a printed hard copy of this admit card to the center. WBJEE EVETS 2019 admit card has some personal, exam related and course-related details, which makes it an important document to be carried on the day of the exam for identity verification purpose.

If a candidate needs a duplicate admit card after the examination, the same can be provided by the Board, but only till August 31, 2019. In order to get a duplicate, the candidate must apply to the Board and pay a processing fee of Rs. 500/- by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata.

WBJEE EVETS 2019 Examination Pattern

Candidates can have a look at the WBJEE EVETS 2019 examination pattern and can start preparing accordingly!

  • Mode of Exam – Offline (Pen and paper-based)
  • Duration of Exam – 2 hours
  • Papers Included – Physics & Chemistry, Biological Sciences
  • Total Marks – 200
  • Number of Questions – 50 questions per section
  • Question Type – Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type with four answer options
  • Medium of Language – English and Bengali language
  • Marking Scheme – Correct answer 2 marks/ incorrect answer -1/2 (25% negative) marks/ no response 0 marks.
  • If a candidate has marked 2 responses in front of 1 question, it shall be treated as an incorrect response. And a negative marking scheme of -1/2 marks will be applicable.
  • Syllabus – Candidates are advised to prepare Class 11 and 12th standard syllabus or important topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE).

WBJEE EVETS 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be able to fulfill these eligibility criteria in order to be able to apply for WBJEE EVETS 2019 on March 12, 2019.

  • Age – Should fall between 17 – 25 years age group as on 31st December 2019. 5 years of age relaxation is given to SC/ST/OBC A & B candidates.
  • Citizenship – Should be an Indian citizen.
  • Domicile – Should be a domicile holder of West Bengal.
  • Educational Qualification – Should have passed H.S. (10+2) examinations of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in science stream from any recognized Board/Council.
  • Minimum Marks Requirement – A minimum 70% (60% for SC/ST/OBC-A & B/PwD candidates) marks altogether in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, with individual pass marks in 10+2 level is required to be eligible for appearing in WBJEE EVETS.

Note that, a candidate needs to provide true information regarding their eligibility, in terms of providing original document proofs supporting their date of birth, domicile, income, reservation category, academic qualification etc. Details printed on WBJEE EVET 2019 admit card will mention these details and once entered, these details cannot be edited/corrected.

WBJEEB EVETS 2019 Application Form

WBJEEB will release the online application form for WBJEEB EVETS 2019. All those candidates, fulfilling the above eligibility criteria can apply on March 12, 2019, on its official website, www.wbjeeb.in. Broadly, candidates are required to take the following steps – filling up of online application, uploading necessary documents and paying off the application fees. After a candidate has completed all these steps, he/she will be directed to the “Confirmation page”. WBJEE Confirmation page will be made available till March 29, 2019. 

Candidates need to make payment of application fee in online mode. WBJEE EVETS 2019 Application fee is Rs.500 plus additional bank charges also needs to be borne. This fee is a one time payment which is non refundable. Further, a candidate needs to download a copy of the confirmation, after having submitted the application form. Note that, the authorities also opens a form correction window to give all its applicants one, final opportunity to rectify/edit the details provided.

WBJEE EVETS Result 2019

WBJEEB will issue a merit rank card to all the candidates who shall appear for the offline exam on June 29, 2019. The rank cards are expected to be released over the student’s login from the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. Rank card is issued to all candidates who appeared in examination. But all may not be awarded a rank and hence may not be eligible for counselling, for which a cut off rank /or a cut off score will be decided by the board.

A candidate can also generate a duplicate rank card from the Board, in case he/she is not able to download the same from its official website, due to some unforeseen reasons. Candidate needs to pay a processing fee of Rs.500 via bank draft in the name of ” West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board”, payable in Kolkata. Only some candidates are given the rank and those candidates further become eligible to appear for the final round of counselling.

Merit List

WBJEEB will prepare the merit rank based on the candidates score in the entrance tests. Every candidate will be eligible to download and view their rank, which will contain the score and rank. WBJEEB does not publish any rank/score list for public.

Ranking Methodology and publication of Merit Lists

  • General Merit Rank is allotted to every candidate who qualified for the exam.
  • The names of the qualified candidates are arranged in the chronological order.
  • The admissions are strictly provided on the basis of GMR and not category ranks.
  • Reserved category candidates can check their respective category e.g. SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD rank as applicable.
  • As per the information provided over the application form, a candidate is allotted category ranks on teh basis of birth categories.

Tie-breaking Methodology in Merit Rank:

  • Less negative marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry taken together.
  • More positive marks in Biology and Chemistry taken together.
  • More positive marks in Biology and Physics taken together.
  • Less positive marks in Biology and Chemistry taken together.
  • Less positive marks in Biology and Physics taken together.
  • If tie exists still thereafter, same will be broken by the date of birth (DOB) of the concerned candidates, the older candidate will be given preference over the younger one.

WBJEE EVETS Admissions and Counselling Process

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board is not responsible for conducting the counselling and admission round for B.V.Sc. & A.H. admission. The entrance exam is only conducted by WBJEEB. The counseling is then conducted by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, 68 & 37, Kshudiram Bose Sarani, Kolkata – 700037, Ph. No. 033 2558 0278. Selected candidates are requested to keep themselves updated with the official website of the University.
