WBJEE EVETS 2020 – West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will no longer conduct WBJEE EVETS from 2020 for admission in 1st year B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses. Instead, West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences has announced that admission to all 1st year B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses will be based on National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) merit in WB state. Thus to take admission in any institute of West Bengal in bachelor of veterinary and animal husbandry courses, candidates have to apply for NEET 2020 and qualify the same. The total number of seats available in 1st year B.V.Sc. & A.H. course is 83 for the academic session 2020-21. Earlier all admission to this course was based on the state level entrance exam, WBJEE EVETS, now it is to be based on national level entrance exam, NEET. The following process is to be followed to take admission in bachelor of veterinary and animal husbandry courses:
Step 1: Apply for NEET 2020

About NEET 2020: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a single medical entrance exam for admission of candidates in medical/dental/ayurveda/siddha/unani/homeopathy courses all over India. National Testing Agency is the conducting body and the exam is held in offline mode. To qualify the exam general candidates need atleast 50th percentile, ST/ST-PH/SC/SC-PH candidates need atleast 40th percentile and OBC/OBC-PH candidates need atleast 45th percentile.

NEET 2020 Exam Pattern
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted for the duration of 3 hours and it consists of the questions from the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology and Botany). The distribution of the questions are as follows:

Marking scheme:
- +4 marks is awarded for the correct answers.

NEET question papers are set in 1 different languages that are Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, Odia, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada and Hindi. Candidates have to select any one medium of the question paper while filling the NEET application form.

B.V.Sc. & A.H. Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates can check below the eligibility to take admission in first year of B.V.Sc. & A.H. course.
Nationality – The applicant must be a citizen of India and domicile of West Bengal state.
Age Criteria – It should not be less than 17 years and not more than 25 years of age as on 31st December year of admission. There shall be a relaxation of the upper age limit by a maximum of 5 (five) years for SC/ST/OBC-A & B candidates.
Entrance exam: The candidate must qualify and obtain a rank in the NEET-UG-2020 conducted by NTA.
Students of the Open schooling are not eligible for admission in this course.
Academic Qualification:
- The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations from any
recognized Board. - Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks.
- The candidate must obtain 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English taken together for unreserved category and 47.5% in case of reserved category candidates
