WB JELET Answer Key 2026 – Download Provisional & Final Key at wbjeeb.nic.in

The WB JELET Answer Key 2026 will be released by WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board) at wbjeeb.nic.in after the exam concludes on 13 June 2026. What is the WB JELET Answer Key?

The WB JELET answer key is an official document released by WBJEEB containing the correct responses to all questions in Paper I (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Fundamentals of Electrical & Electronics Engineering) and Paper II (D.Pharm curriculum). By comparing your OMR-marked responses with the official key, you can estimate your probable score even before the official result is declared. The marking varies by question category: Category 1 questions carry +1 for correct and –1/4 for wrong, while Category 2 questions carry +2 for all correct options with partial credit and no negative marking.

How to Download the WB JELET Answer Key

  1. Visit the official portal at wbjeeb.nic.in/jelet.
  2. Click on the “Answer Key” or “Model Answer Key” link on the home page.
  3. The PDF will open in a new browser tab.
  4. Download and save the file for offline reference.
  5. Compare your OMR-marked responses with the key to calculate your probable score.

How to Calculate Score Using the Answer Key

Use the marking scheme below to estimate your marks after the exam. Apply the formula separately for Category 1 and Category 2 questions:

Score Calculation Formula: Total Score = (Category 1 correct × 1) − (Category 1 wrong × 0.25) + (Category 2 fully correct × 2) + (Category 2 partial credit marks). The maximum possible score is 120.


How to Raise Objection on the Provisional Key

If you believe a particular answer in the provisional key is incorrect, WBJEEB allows candidates to raise objections through the official portal. All submitted objections are reviewed by subject experts before the final key is released. To raise an objection:

  1. Log in at wbjeeb.nic.in/jelet with your application number and password.
  2. Click on the “Raise Objection” or “Challenge Answer Key” link.
  3. Select the question number you wish to challenge.
  4. Provide your justification with textbook/reference document as supporting proof.
  5. Pay the prescribed objection fee per question through the online payment gateway.
  6. Submit and save the confirmation receipt. Objections submitted without fee will not be considered.

Note: If the objection is found valid, the fee paid will typically be refunded. If the objection is rejected, the fee is forfeited. Always submit objections within the window announced by WBJEEB.

Types of Answer Keys Released by WBJEEB

  • Provisional / Model Answer Key: Released a few days after the exam. Open to objections from candidates.
  • Final Answer Key: Released after all objections have been reviewed and accepted/rejected. Used exclusively for result preparation.
  • OMR Response Sheet: A scanned image of your individual OMR sheet showing which bubbles you filled. Cross-check it with the official key for accurate score estimation.
