The result of JELET 2018 will announce after the successful conduction of exam for the Joint Entrance Examination for lateral entry to 2nd year of study in the four-year courses of Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technology and Pharmacy (Except Architecture) for the academic year 2018-19. WBJEE JELET Result 2018

The result of JELET-2018 will be declared as per schedule in the month of Jun 2018. The Board compiles merit list(s) at its website, and releases result with rank card viz. www.wbjeeb.in. The total number of candidates to be merit listed will be decided by appropriate authority. The Board neither publishes nor communicates the result to any individual applicant. The result may be viewed on Website: www.wbjeeb.in. Compliance with requirements for making application for the Joint Entrance Examination does not make a candidate eligible for admission to any University / Institution.

The Board neither informs nor communicates the result to any individual applicant. It does not have any provision for post-publication scrutiny and/or review and hence the Board will not entertain any such request after the examination.

Ranking Methodology and publication of Merit Lists

WBJEEB will publish following five separate merit rank lists based on the candidates’ total score in the entrance test.

  • Merit rank for Diploma holders in Engineering & Technology except for Printing Technology and Agricultural Engineering.
  • Merit rank for Diploma holders in Printing Technology.
  • Merit rank for Diploma holders in Agricultural Engineering.
  • Merit rank for Diploma holders in Pharmacy.
  • Merit rank for B. Sc. Candidates.

This Lists shall be in the name and style of ‘GMR’ (General Merit Rank). Separate reserved category merit rank shall also be published for respective category of students e.g. SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank. But only ‘GMR’ shall be applicable for sequencing the counseling and seat allotment. Ranking of the said Merit Lists shall be done in the descending order of total marks
scored in the entrance test. However, there may be ties and following tie-breaking rule shall be applicable to them in the determination of their merit rank.

Tie-breaking Methodology in Merit Rank:

For Diploma holders in Engineering & Technology except for Printing Technology and Agricultural Engineering:

  • Less negative marks in total
  • More positive marks in Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials taken together.
  • Less negative marks in Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials taken together.
  • More positive marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering has taken together
  • Less negative marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering has taken together.

For Diploma holders in Printing Technology:

  • Less negative marks in total
  • More positive marks in Basic Printing Engineering and Printers’ Materials Science taken together.
  • Less negative marks in Basic Printing Engineering and Printers’ Materials Science taken together.
  • More positive marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering has taken together
  • Less negative marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering has taken together

For Diploma holders in Agricultural Engineering:

  • Less negative marks in total
  • More positive marks in Soil & Water, Farm Machinery and Power and Food Processes and Food Harvest Engineering taken together.
  • Less negative marks in Soil & Water, Farm Machinery and Power and Food Processes and Food Harvest Engineering taken together.
  • More positive marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering has taken together
  • Less negative marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering has taken together

For B. Sc. candidates:

  • Less negative marks in total

For Diploma holders in pharmacy:

  • Less negative marks in total

If tie exists still thereafter, same will be broken by the date of birth (DOB) of the concerned candidates; the older candidate will be given preference over the younger one.

Instruction to Candidates

  • Candidates will be able to view and download their rank card by logging in with their password.
  • Duplicate rank cards cannot be generated at any later stage after a specified date. Hence candidates are advised to retain their rank cards carefully in secured place in undamaged condition for all future purpose.
  • Ranks will be awarded to all candidates, who will appear for JELET-2018.
  • But all those, who appear in the examination and have a rank, may not be eligible for counseling, for which a cut off rank and/or a cut off score will be decided by the board, which will be announced at the time of publication of the result.
