WBJEE JELET 2022 Result
The result will declare in the form of a rank card namely General Merit Rank (GMR). Five different ranks lists are prepared for the candidate’s qualifying examination. To stay updated with the important events related to WBJEE JELET result 2022, follow the schedule given below.

WBJEE JELET 2022 Ranking and Merit List
WBJEEB prepares a merit list based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination. After the declaration of the result, five separate merit rank lists are prepared based on the candidate’s total score in the examination. The merit list is prepared as per the different subjects are given below.
- Diploma in Engineering & Technology except for Printing Technology and Agricultural Engineering.
- Diploma in Printing Technology
- Diploma in Agricultural Engineering
- Diploma in Pharmacy
- B.Sc.
Following are some important points regarding merit list preparation
- The rank will be named as General Merit Rank (GMR)
- The ranking is done in the descending order of marks scored in the entrance exam.
- Separate reserved category merit position will also be indicated for the respective category of students e.g. SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A-Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank as applicable.
- Counseling/Seat allotment/admission will be done only on the basis of GMR. (not on category ranks)
- If in case at the time of verification the category found is incorrect no admission will be done on the basis of category then. The candidate will be considered as general category with his/her GMR.
Note: A candidates shall be listed in respective group based on the information provided by him/her regarding the qualifying examination in the application form. If any mistake/error is done in this regard he/she will have a rank in the wrong group and eventually will not be able to take admission.
How to Download WBJEE JELET Rank Card 2022?
WBJEE JELET 2022 result is published in the form of rank card only. Thus, test takers must know the steps to download the rank card online from the official website. Following are the steps to be followed.

Step 3: Next, candidates need to login by entering their password.
Step 4: On the screen, JELET 2022 rank card shall be displayed.

Tie-Breaking Criteria for WBJEE JELET 2022
In case two or more candidates obtain the same/equal scores or rank in JELET 2022, the following tie-breaking criteria is adopted by the Board.
For Diploma holders in Engineering & Technology except Printing Technology and Agricultural Engineering:
- Firstly, less negative marks in total will be considered.
- More positive marks in the Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials are taken together.
- More positive marks in the Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering taken together
- Less negative marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering taken together
- Lastly, less negative marks in Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials taken together.
For Diploma holder in Printing Technology
- Less negative marks in total are considered.
- More positive marks in Basic Printing Engineering and Printers’ Materials Science taken together.
- Less negative marks in Basic Printing Engineering and Printers’ Materials Science taken together.
- More positive marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering taken together.
- Less negative marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering taken together.
For Diploma holders in Agricultural Engineering:
- Less negative marks in total
- More positive marks in Soil & Water, Farm Machinery and Power and Food Processes and Food Harvest Engineering are taken together.
- Less negative marks in Soil & Water, Farm Machinery and Power and Food Processes and Food Harvest Engineering taken together.
- More positive marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering taken together.
- Less negative marks in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical Technology, Computer Application and Environmental Engineering taken together
For B. Sc. candidates:
- Less negative marks in total are considered
For Diploma holders in the pharmacy:
- Less negative marks in total are considered
Note: If the tie still remains unbroken then it will be resolved on the basis of Age criteria, candidates with the older age will be given preference as compared to the younger age.
WBJEE JELET Counselling 2022
After the declaration of the result, eligible and qualified candidates are notified with the details of the counselling and seat allotment process. Only qualified candidates are eligible for the counselling process. Registration is necessary to sit in the counselling. Candidates have to bring all the documents at the time of counselling for verification. All the necessary documents and credentials of candidates are verified at the counselling center.
Since Counselling and admission process is sequential according to the rank attained, it is advised to be present at the allotted date and center for counselling as no other dates are provided to them for admission. Also, no other person can attend the counselling on behalf of the other candidate.
WBJEE JELET Reservation 2022
- In respect of reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD, applicable Acts/Rules of the Government of West Bengal prevailing at the time of admission will be followed.
- However, availability of such reserve category seats shall be restricted to students domiciled in West Bengal only.
- As the reservation for PwD (persons with disability) candidates is on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in General/SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B category to which he/she belongs.
- List of reserved seats will be announced by the concerned authority before counseling.
- Candidates claiming reserved seats must submit relevant Certificate issued from either of the competent Authorities as enlisted below.
- The certificate is to be produced during counselling, admission, etc. If the certificate is then found to be invalid, the candidate will lose the opportunity of admission in reserved category.
