What is the WB JELET Result?

The WB JELET result is the official rank card published by WBJEEB after evaluating the OMR answer sheets against the final answer key. It indicates whether a candidate has qualified and provides the general merit rank and category rank. Only candidates placed in the merit list are eligible to participate in the centralised counselling for lateral entry seat allotment in B.E./B.Tech and B.Pharm programmes across West Bengal.

How to Check the WB JELET Result

  1. Visit the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in/jelet.
  2. Click on the “Download Rank Card” or “Result 2026” link on the home page.
  3. Enter your application number, date of birth, and security pin in the login window.
  4. Submit the details to view the rank card on screen.
  5. Download the PDF and take a printout. Preserve it for counselling and admission.

Qualifying Marks

WBJEEB prepares the merit list only for candidates who score at or above the minimum qualifying marks. Based on historical trends, the indicative qualifying marks have been as follows (these are indicative for reference only — actual qualifying marks for 2026 will be determined by WBJEEB):

Tie-Breaking Rules

If two or more candidates obtain identical aggregate marks, WBJEEB applies the following tie-breaking sequence to assign distinct ranks:

  1. Paper I candidates: Higher marks in Mathematics → Physics → Chemistry.
  2. Paper II candidates: Higher marks in Pharmaceutics → Pharmaceutical Chemistry → Pharmacognosy.
  3. If the tie persists after subject-wise comparison, the older candidate is ranked higher.

After Result: Counselling Process

After the result is declared, WBJEEB conducts centralised online counselling. Only candidates who are placed in the rank list are eligible to register. The counselling process involves:

  • Registration: Eligible candidates register on the counselling portal and pay the prescribed fee.
  • Choice Filling: Candidates fill and lock their preferences for institutes and branches in order of priority.
  • Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on merit rank, category, and seat availability at participating institutes.
  • Seat Acceptance: Allotted candidates pay the seat acceptance fee and confirm acceptance online.
  • Reporting: Candidates report to the allotted institute or a designated reporting centre with original documents for admission.
  • Upgradation Rounds: Subsequent rounds are held to fill seats vacated by candidates who did not report, and to allow rank-based upgradation.
