There is no pre-defined cut off for AIIMS PG. Instead, there is a cut off percentile. The cutoff percentile of AIIMS PG is the percentile at which, candidates provisionally eligible for online seat allocation and counselling process.

How is AIIMS PG 2020 Result Calculate?

AIIMS PG 2020 Raw Score: The raw score are calculated as per the marking scheme of the examination. For correct answer, the marks are added and for incorrect answers, the marks are deducted. The marking scheme of AIIMS PG 2020 is as follows:
Marking Scheme for MD / MS / MDS / DM / MCH (6 yrs) –
- + 1 marks for single best response, sequential arrangement, multiple completion, reason assertion.
- +1/5 marks for multiple true false.
- +1/4 marks for match the following.
- +1/2 marks for extended matching.
- -1/3 marks for single best response.

- -1/4 marks for match the following, multiple completion, reason assertion.

- -1 mark for sequential arrangement.
Marking Scheme for DM / M.Ch / MD (H.A) –
- + 1 marks for each correct answer.
- – 1/3 marks for each incorrect answer.
AIIMS PG 2020 Percentile Score: To calculate these, the raw score are converted out of 100. The marks obtained are transformed into a range of 100 to 0, for each group of examines. The determined percentile score then shows the number of candidates who have scored more or less than the candidate in question.
AIIMS considers percentile scores upto 3 decimal places only.
AIIMS PG 2020 Percentile Rank: The percentile rank is the determined on the basis of percentile cut off. The candidate who score more than the percentile cut off, qualify the exam.

AIIMS PG 2020 Selection Process for MD / MS / MDS / DM / MCH (6 yrs)
The selection of the candidates is done directly on the basis of percentile rank in AIIMS PG 2020. However, the rank holders are called for counselling round and on the basis of rank, choice of the candidate, and number seats the allotment is done.
AIIMS PG 2020 Selection Process for DM / MCH / MD (HA)
A) Stage I – First of all, the candidates need to qualify the written test. The test is of 80 marks and candidates get 90 minutes to solve it. To qualify the exam, the candidates need to score more than the cut off marks.
B) Stage II – Candidates who score more than cut off marks in the written test are then called for departmental clinical / practical / lab based assessment. It is of 20 marks.
C) Final Selection – After both the stages has been held, AIIMS releases the final merit list. In this list, only those candidates are featured who secure more than 50% marks in Stage I and II, individually and combine. However, it should be noted that Stage II is just the qualifying the exam. To determine the final merit of the candidates, the marks in only Stage I are considered.
AIIMS PG 2020 Counselling
Qualified candidates have to appear for AIIMS PG 2020 counselling session. They need to follow these steps for seat allotment.
- Candidates first need to register on the online portal.
- Thereafter, they need to exercise choice filling of their college and courses.
- The competent authority then releases the seat allotment result.
- Candidates have to reach the allotted venue for document verification and payment of fee.

All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi conducts the AIIMS PG 2020 examination.
