The INI CET syllabus for the January 2027 session is the full undergraduate MBBS curriculum, or the BDS curriculum for MDS seats. AIIMS New Delhi does not publish a separate topic list. The 200-question computer-based exam on 1 November 2026 tests pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical subjects, mostly through clinical application.

What is the INI CET syllabus?
The INI CET paper covers the subjects of the MBBS course. Candidates for MDS seats are tested on the BDS course instead.

- Anatomy: gross anatomy, histology, embryology and neuroanatomy.
- Physiology and Biochemistry: organ-system physiology, metabolism, enzymes and molecular biology.
- Pathology and Microbiology: general and systemic pathology, haematology, bacteriology, virology, parasitology and immunology.
- Pharmacology and Forensic Medicine: drug classes and adverse effects, toxicology and medico-legal topics.

What is the INI CET exam pattern and marking scheme?
The paper has 200 objective questions in 3 hours, including single correct and multiple correct choice questions, with +1 for a right answer and minus 1/3 for a wrong one.

How to Prepare for INI CET January 2027
- Revise every MBBS subject, giving more time to Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics and Community Medicine.
- Use standard textbooks such as Harrison (Medicine), Robbins (Pathology), Park (Community Medicine) and KD Tripathi (Pharmacology).
- Practise image-based and case-based questions, as INI CET tests clinical application.
- Practise full 200-question tests in four 45-minute blocks, since each part is timed separately.
- Avoid blind guessing, since each wrong answer costs 1/3 mark.
- Solve recall-based INI CET previous year question papers to learn the question style.
