Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Test(BHU UET)

BHU UET 2019 – Banaras Hindu University conducts BHU Undergraduate Entrance Test(UET) for admissions to some undergraduate general, professional, other professional and vocational courses. This public central university conducts BHU UET as a national level admission test. BHU UET 2019 will be conducted in offline mode i.e pen and paper-based for a duration of 1½ hours to 2 hours, depending on the course who you have applied for. Candidates will be advised to check the eligibility criteria and then apply in the month of January. Furthermore, all those candidates who will be submitting their BHU UET 2019 applications on time will be given the admit cards to appear in the exam. BHU UET 2019

For admissions to some of the courses, a candidate needs to clear BHU UET 2019, along with the practical test. Different paper will be conducted for a different duration and marks. But first, without much ado, candidates need to keep a track of BHU UET 2019 important events from below.

BHU UET 2019 Selection Procedure

A candidate willing to pursue any of the above-mentioned undergraduate courses from the Benaras Hindu University will be needed to appear for Undergraduate Entrance Test(UET). To appear for BHU UET 2019, a candidate will need to fulfill the eligibility criteria and submit the application forms before the last date lapses. Retrieve the BHU UET 2019 admit cards, affix a recent passport size photograph and carry a hard copy on the day of the exam. If he or she qualifies, then he or she will be required further to appear for a practical round( in case of some courses) and a counseling round(in case of some other courses). After clearing this final round, a candidate will be allotted a seat. If satisfied with the allotted seat, he or she will be required to freeze the seat under his or her name by paying off the admission fee. Note that, BHU strictly believes in providing admission on merit basis.

BHU UET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Prior to form filling, a candidate must fulfill the eligibility criteria as laid down by the BHU. A different course will require to fulfill different eligibility criteria to be fulfilled. So, an interested candidate must be able to fulfill all the eligibility norms, as laid by the authorities. Failure to do so, an applicant’s candidature may be canceled.

Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidates should have qualified passed in 10+2 examinations or equivalent examinations, with a minimum of 50% Marks.

Age Limit: The candidates must not be more than 20 – 25 years as on July 1, 2019.

  • Only for B.Ed. Course – Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in
    the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanities/Commerce, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto or eligible for admission to the programme.
  • Only for L.L.B Hons. in Bachelor of Laws Course – Candidates must have a B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com / Shastri Degree, with 50% marks in the core subjects. OR should possess any equivalent degree which is recognized by BCI.
  • Only for B.A. L.L.B Hons Course – Minimum marks in qualifying exam is 50% for General category applicants, 45% for OBC and 40% for SCs & ST candidates.
  • Only for B.P.Ed Course – The applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks.

BHU UET 2019 Application Form

After going through the BHU UET 2019 eligibility norms, candidates can start applying for BHU UET 2019 in online mode. The Benaras Hindu University will be releasing the application forms over its official website i.e bhuonline.in. As per the released dates, the BHU UET 2019 applications need to be submitted, along with the specified amount of fee. Note that, neither the information brochure nor the application forms will not be made available in offline mode.

Application Fee(Last year):

  • For SC/ST/PC – Rs. 250/-
  • For Others – Rs. 500/-
  • For candidates applying to Shastri (Hons), Rs. 200/- (Others) and Rs. 100/- (SC/ST/PC).

Mode Of Payment – These were the payment gateways available to make the payment of the application fee of BHU UET 2019 Application fee.

Online – Credit card/ Debit card and Offline – Challan

However, in case the candidate applies for more than one course, he or she will be required to pay for each subsequent application reduced rates as follows. These are the expected amount for this year.

For SC/ST/PC candidates– Rs. 100/-
For Others category candidates – Rs. 200/-

BHU UET 2019 Admit Card

Only those candidates will be given the BHU UET 2019 Admit cards who will be submitting their application before the last date lapses. Benaras Hindu University will be issuing authority of BHU UET 2019 Admit cards which will be released over the official website of the University. The direct link will also be provided under the “Admit Card” link under the quick links section on this page. No candidate shall be sent the BHU UET 2019 admit cards via registered post or courier service. Candidates will be notified regarding the release of the admit cards via SMS or an email. Three days prior to the exam date, a candidate should have been download the admit card for the exam. If not, he or she may contact the University. Note that, all the candidates will be required to attach a passport size photo in the admit card and carry it on the day of the exam, along with a recognised ID proof.

Note that, last year due to a low number of students enrolling BHU authorities decided not to conduct BHU UET across few exam centers. So, had canceled and shifted those candidates who had opted to appear for the exam from this centers to some other center. In case this situation arises due to some unforeseen reasons, the authorities will notify the candidates.

BHU UET 2019 Result

Candidates will be able to check they have cleared or qualified for BHU UET 2019 in the month of June. The exact dates have not yet been released. But, it will be relesed over the official website of the University, like the application forms and the admit cards were released. The BHU UET 2019 Result will be released by BHU and will contain the overall merit marks, along with the individual merit score secured by a candidate. A notification regarding the same will be sent over registered email ID and SMS. All those candidates meeting the minimum marks requirement will be further called for a practical round or a counseling round, depending on the course they have opted for.

BHU UET 2019 Counselling

Selected candidates will be called for the final admission round, that of Counseling. Candidates will be required to report at the allotted center as per the allotted center and date. Call letter, along with a few other important documents needs to be carried on this day. This BHU UET 2019 counseling round basically has 3 steps that needs to be completed:

  • Online Preference Entry – A form will be made available online stating their preference or choice regarding subject combination, subject, choice of course, preference of location and seat type.
  • Activity on the day of Counseling – A candidate will be asked to report at the prescribed location as per prescribed date and time, along with a list of important documents.
  • Activity on the next day of Counseling – Final step of counseling will require a candidate to submit the proof of making the payment of admission fee.

Documents required at the time of counseling

  • Transfer Certificate.
  • Migration Certificate, if passed from a university other than BHU (To be submitted not later than 90 days of admission).
  • High School Certificate/equivalent Certificate.
  • Intermediate (+2) Certificate/equivalent Certificate.
  • Mark sheets of High School/equivalent & Intermediate (+2)/equivalent.
  • Mark sheet of the Qualifying Examination.
  • UET Admit Card issued from the office of the Controller of Examinations, BHU.
  • SC/ST/OBC Certificate on the basis of which reserved quota seat is claimed.
  • Certificate(s) in support of claim for ‘Sports Seats’.
  • Certificate of being the son/daughter of a permanent in-service employee/Retired/Reemployed/ Deceased employee of BHU in the prescribed format issued by the Central Registry.
