BITSAT 2018 Result – The result of BITSAT 2018 for admissions into B.E., M.Sc., B.Pharm. shall be published by Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) on the official website in the 04th week of May 2018. The process for admission into BITS is a little long but it is quite simple. First of all there will be a computer based test, then the results for this test is instantly declared but the rank is not declared at this point. The rank is declared later on which will be announced by BITS on the official website. With result in hand candidates can fill and submit admission form of BITS 2018.
Latest: BITSAT 2017 Iteration III Result has been announced. The candidates may check it from here. The last date to pay the fee is July 20, 2017.
Then the next step involves releasing Cutoff of BITSAT 2018. The cut off is the minimum score that the candidates have to secure for admission. For any reason, if the candidate obtains lesser score than the determined cut off he/she will not be eligible for admission. Candidate who succeeds in clearing the cut off is called for the next round i.e counselling also know as iteration. Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) prepares a merit list that consists the names of the candidates who are shortlisted for counselling. All the applicants are then required to attend the counselling. In the counselling candidates are informed in which campus there might be a seat for them. The candidates then fill the admission form separately in which they have to mention the 12th class marks and also indicate their preferences for the course and the campus. The application form for admission is also needed to be made in online mode and there are also charges for that.
Candidates would be able to apply for admission from 03rd week of May 2018 to 04th week of June 2018 and then the institute will release the list of the candidates who are selected for admission and also the candidates who are put in the wait list. Candidates awaiting admission are offered seat only when any candidate is unable to complete the admission formalities on time and his candidature is cancelled.

BITSAT 2018 Score Report
At the completion of the test, the computer will announce the result of the candidates instantly. You will be able to see the number of total correct answers and wrong answers, with the score that you have been awarded. This score report can also be printed and these scores are also available at the BITS admission website after all the tests are completed. You are not allowed to appear in the test in the same year again.
BITSAT 2018 Merit List for Admission
Any candidate who will appear in BITSAT-2018 will be eligible for admission only if
(i) he/she gets minimum of 75% marks in 12th class in aggregate and 60% in each subject (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)
(ii) Appears in BITSAT 2018 and
(iii) submits Admission application form with 12th marks and preferences as per the prescribed schedule.

All BITSAT 2018 Admission related information would be available on the website. Considering all these factors, the merit list will be drawn. The merit position of eligible candidates will be prepared on the basis of their scores in BITSAT-2018. There will be two separate merit lists prepared for admission. One for all the programmes except the B.Pharm. and, the other only for B.Pharm.
Tie breaking methodology
(i) scores obtained in Mathematics/Biology (For B.Pharm) will be considered for breaking tie
(ii) scores obtained in Physics will be considered for breaking tie.
(iii) scores obtained in Chemistry.
(iv) lastly, PCM/PCB total marks in 12th examination will be considered for their separation
As it is clearly visible from the Pie-Chart, that there are total 14 disciplines that a student can opt for through appearing in BITSAT.
Usually the admission criteria s to evaluate a number of factors in consideration such as (i) number of candidates registered (ii) number of candidates appearing (iii) number of candidates obtaining minimum qualifying marks (iv) highest scores obtained category wise (v) last year’s cut off etc. Among the factors that has been mentioned, cut off is one portion that never be foretold perfectly. Since the factors that contribute in deducting cut off are also not static. We can only predict what might be the cut off in future. Here we have mentioned the past year cut off which will give you an idea of the cut off that was decided for each discipline. Let us break them in section.
In Pilani campus, there were 14 disciplines that were offered last year. Out of the 14 disciplines there was B.E. (Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical), B.Pharm., M.Sc. (Economics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics) etc. it is clearly visible from the pie chart that highest cut off was for B.E Computer Science and the lowest cut off was set for B.Pharm. While all other could be ranged from 300-365.
