CCMN Allotment 2017

CCMN 2017 being organized by National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. CCMN 2017 Allotment process will be as per the schedule given below.

1st Round – Allotment Results 08 Jun 2017
2nd Round – Allotment Results 19 Jun 2017
Surrender of Allotment 28 Jun – 02 Jul 2017
Final Round – Allotment Results 04 Jul 2017

The seat allotment will be made as per the choices of the students upon their JAM 2017 score. The allotment result will be available on the CCMN website www.ccmn.in through Student Login Page.

Separate Allotment Letters will not be send to individual candidates by any mode.

First Round of Allotment

  • Once the allotment is done, a candidate should perform 02 (two) actions to participate in the counselling.
  • Action 1: A candidate should opt for either “Freeze” or “Float” option to continue in the counselling.
  • Action 2: Candidate(s) should pay the Counselling Participation Fee (CPF) to confirm their allotment and continue for further process.
  • A candidate who does not perform any one of these “Actions” will be removed from the counselling and cannot participate in further round(s).
  • A candidate can choose to voluntarily exit CCMN 2017 without performing any of the above actions and such candidates will be removed from the counselling procedure for all future round(s).
  • However, if a candidate has performed both the “Actions” and confirmed participating in further round(s) of counselling, now at a later stage decides to exit CCMN 2017 should wait till “Surrender dates” as mentioned in the “Key Dates” column in the website or mentioned in the later part of this brochure. Such a candidate will surrender the allotment during the specific period and all such candidates are eligible for the refund of paid CPF after deduction of Rs. 1000/- as processing charges. This refund for valid surrender will be settled after the entire counselling process is over.

The seats thus falling vacant (hereinafter called ‘Vacant Seats’) will be considered for allotment/upgradation in the subsequent round(s) of allotment.

Second Round of Allotment

The second round of seat allotment will be made against the “Vacant Seats” available after the first round of online reporting. The following groups of candidates are eligible for seat allotment against vacant seats in the second round:

  • GROUP – 1: Registered candidates (JAM 2017 qualified) who are not allotted seats in the 1st Round of seat allotment.
  • GROUP – 2: Candidates who got allotted seat in the 1st Round of allotment and had completed online reporting with option “Float”.

The choices submitted by the above candidates will be processed as such with no change and the seat allotment will be made as per their choices upon the merit of JAM score, and the allotment result will be available under “Candidate Query Corner” in CCMN website.

Surrender of an Allotment

Surrendering of allotment is a candidate’s choice and will be honoured by CCMN 2017. A proper and timely surrender of allotment will create an additional vacancy for another deserving candidate.

If a candidate wishes to surrender the allotment, the candidate should do it ONLINE and need NOT report to any PI.

  • Candidates who had paid CPF during either 1st or 2nd Round and exercised either “Freeze” or “Float” option are eligible to surrender the allotment.
  • A surrender of allotment is successful only when it is done ONLINE using an OTP within the stipulated dates and the same is reflected at CCMN portal. Such candidates are eligible for refund of the paid CPF after deduction of Rs. 1000/- as processing charges.
  • Queries or requests for surrender of allotment (through any other mode eg. email/letter/telephone) beyond the stipulated dates will not be entertained. Such requests are rejected and not eligible for refund of the paid CPF.
  • The CPF of candidates (allotted but not surrendered) will be transferred to the finally “Allotted Institute” that comes after the Final Round of allotment.
  • Candidates who have not performed any of the necessary actions mentioned in the previous rounds (Choosing “Freeze”/”Float” and/or Payment of CPF) are not eligible to surrender. Those candidates are automatically given exit from CCMN.

Final Round of Allotment

In an attempt to fill the seats that may still remain vacant after the 1ST & 2ND Rounds of allotment, a Final Round (FR) of allotment will be conducted. The following groups of candidates are eligible for seat allotment against vacant seats in this Final Round:

  • GROUP – 1: Registered candidates (JAM 2017 qualified) who are not allotted seats in the 1st & 2nd Rounds of seat allotment.
  • GROUP – 2: Candidates who got allotted seat in the 1st Round of allotment and had completed online reporting with option “Float” and has not got any upgradation. (AND) Candidates who got allotted seat in the 2nd Round of allotment and had completed online reporting with option “Float”.

The choices submitted by the above candidates will be processed as such with no change and the seat allotment will be made as per their choices upon the merit of JAM score, and the allotment result will be available under “Candidate Query Corner” in CCMN website.

Documents to be submitted during admission at the allotted institute

  • Provisional Admission Letter (PAL) downloaded from the CCMN 2017 website.
  • Printout of the Registration form with locked choices
  • Valid qualified JAM 2017 Score Card
  • Certificate showing Date of Birth (DOB Certificate [or] 10th Class Mark Sheet/Certificate)
  • 12th Class Mark Sheet/Any other certificate issued by NIOS or any other competent authority showing the availability of Mathematics subject at Class 12 level.
  • If results published: Qualifying Degree Certificate showing the passing Class / Division / Percentage / CGPA [or]
  • If results not published: Course Completion Certificate/Provisional Certificate /Certificate in the format.
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC with NCL) in the standard format as prescribed which is, wherever applicable
  • PwD certificate from a valid ‘Medical Board’ or an equivalent as per the standard format which is provided in the later part of this brochure.
  • Migration/Transfer/Conduct certificate (or all as per the availability) in original from the last attended Institution/University/College (will be retained by the Admitting Institute).
  • Demand Draft/Online Transfer receipt for the “Remaining Fees” to be paid at the Admitting Institute.
  • Passport Photographs (02 no’s)
