CMAT Answer Key 2027: Release Date, Challenge, Score Calculation

The CMAT 2027 answer key will be released by NTA at cmat.nta.nic.in after the exam scheduled for 7 February 2027, first as a provisional key with your recorded responses, then as a final key. In 2026 the provisional key came six days after the exam, so the 2027 key is expected in February 2027.

How to Check the CMAT 2027 Answer Key

1. Open the official CMAT website.
2. Click the answer key challenge link on the home page (in 2026 it read “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key”).
3. Log in with your application number and password, and enter the captcha.
4. Click “View Question Paper” to see the paper with your recorded responses.
5. Click “Click to view/Challenge Answer Key” to see the correct option ID for each question.

How do you read the CMAT answer key and recorded responses?

The CMAT key lists question IDs and the correct option ID, not question numbers. The IDs are not in serial order, so match each question ID in the key with the same ID in your question paper. Your recorded responses show the option you chose for each question. NTA displays them for two to three days.

How can you challenge the CMAT 2027 answer key?

You can challenge the provisional key online during the window NTA announces, by paying Rs 200 per question as a non-refundable processing fee. In 2026 the window ran from 31 January to 2 February.

1. In the challenge screen, tick the option ID you think is correct for the question.
2. Upload supporting documents as a single PDF file.
3. Click “Submit and review Claims”, check your claims and make the final submission.
4. Click “Pay Now” and pay Rs 200 per question by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. Claims are saved only after payment.

Subject experts review every challenge. If a challenge is accepted, the key is revised for all candidates. NTA does not reply to candidates one by one, and no grievance about the key is taken after the result.

How to Calculate Your CMAT 2027 Score

Use the provisional key and your recorded responses to work out your raw score out of 400:

• Add 4 marks for each correct answer.
• Subtract 1 mark for each wrong answer.
• Give 0 for each question you left unanswered.
• If a question is dropped, every candidate gets 4 marks for it. If the final key accepts more than one option, you get marks if you chose any of them.
