What is the CMAT Result 2026?
The result is the official score card issued by NTA after the conduct of the Common Management Admission Test. The CMAT Result 2026 is a digital document containing the candidate’s personal details, overall and section-wise raw marks, overall and section-wise percentile, and the All India Rank. The score card is valid for admission to MBA, PGDM and other postgraduate management programmes at AICTE-approved institutions for the academic session 2026-27 only.

CMAT 2026 Tie-Breaking Rules
If two or more candidates obtain the same overall CMAT 2026 score, NTA breaks the tie by comparing their section-wise scores in the following sequence.
- Step 1: Higher marks in Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation.
- Step 2: Higher marks in Logical Reasoning.
- Step 3: Higher marks in Language Comprehension.
- Step 4: Higher marks in General Awareness.
- Step 5: Higher marks in Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

CMAT 2026 Result Statistics
According to the official NTA press release, CMAT 2026 was conducted in a single shift on 25 January 2026 across 259 centres in 110 cities. A total of 53,453 candidates registered for the exam (27,938 male, 25,513 female and 2 transgender), of which 41,872 candidates actually appeared. This translates to a turnout of 78.33 percent. Since the exam was conducted in a single shift, no score normalisation was applied across multiple sessions.

After downloading the CMAT 2026 score card, candidates are advised to take the following steps for MBA / PGDM admission.
- Apply separately to the MBA / PGDM institutes of their choice that accept the CMAT 2026 score. NTA does not conduct centralised counselling.
- Track institute-specific cut offs and shortlists published on respective official websites.
- Prepare for further selection rounds typically conducted by institutes – Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
