AICTE is conducting CMAT 2018 on January 20, 2018. Declaration of CMAT Result 2018 is likely to be release on February 14, 2018. The actual dates will be announced at the time of release of CMAT Admit Card 2018. Last year the exam was on January 28 and 29. Result was announced on February 8. This year the exam is on January 20 and the result will release tentatively on February 14, 2018. As soon as CMAT Result releases, candidates can check it online.

CMAT Result 2018 consists of a merit list. Merit list indicates Roll number, Rank and the Score. Several colleges affiliated to AICTE accept this score to offer admission to PGDM / MBA and similar courses.

AICTE CMAT 2018 Result and Merit List

Concerned candidates can check the CMAT 2018 Result displayed as a merit list on the website of AICTE CMAT i.e. aicte-cmat.in. AICTE CMAT Result 2018 indicates score and percentile obtained by each candidate roll number wise. All Indian Council of Technical Education announces the AICTE CMAT 2018 Result and Merit List. Candidates can also download their score from the website by logging in. They can log in by entering their email id and password.

How to check CMAT 2018 Result?

Procedure to check result of CMAT 2018 is given below.
CMAT Result 2016 and Merit List - AICTE CMAT 2016

  • Go to the official website of AICTE CMAT. Navigate to the result and merit list link. OR Click on the check result link given on this page.
  • Check your score and percentile against the roll number.
  • Log in to the candidate profile to download the AICTE CMAT 2018 result score card.

Marking Scheme

Marks are calculated for CMAT exam. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be given and 1 mark will be for incorrect answer. Total marks are thus calculated for the CMAT 2018 result.

Percentile (P) is calculated as per the following formula.

( (N- your rank)/ N) x 100, where N is the number of candidates who have appeared in the exam.

CMAT 2018 Exam Analysis

CMAT 2018 will be held in the month of Jan 2018. Several MBA aspirants took the test and the overall view was that the exam was of moderate difficulty level.

Technical glitches and cases of mismanagement (confusion about seating arrangements) were seen in some test centers last year, which is said to have hampered the experience of some test takers.

The Exam pattern is announced by AICTE is given below. There will be four sections with 25 questions each, maximum marks 100 each. The sections are as follows.

Quantitative ability and Data interpretation

Students who appeared for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2017 give mixed reactions to this section. Some feel this is on the tougher, while some say it is moderately difficult only. Questions is expected to be asked on the following topics.

  • Algebra,
  • Arithmetic,
  • Coordinate Geometry,
  • Modern mathematics,
  • Number system.

Difficulty level – Easy to moderate.

Logical reasoning

This section is heavily filled with mathematical reasoning type questions (there were 24 of them), and one question was on verbal reasoning.

Difficulty level – Easy to moderate.

Language comprehension

Most candidates found this to be the trickiest section. There are RC based questions, and other topics. Broadly, the questions asked in this section can be divided as follows.

  • Common confusables,
  • Fact-Inference-Judgement,
  • Para jumble,
  • Reading comprehension,
  • Sentence correction,
  • Vocabulary.

Difficulty level – Moderate to difficult.

General awareness

Whether this section was tough or not, depends on one’s knowledge in GK, mainly static GK. There were only a few questions on current affairs.

Difficulty level – Moderate.
