What is the pattern of the DCECE sample paper?
The sample paper matches the PE paper in the DCECE 2026 prospectus: 90 objective questions, 5 marks each, in 2 hours 15 minutes.
| Subject | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Physics | 30 | 150 |
| Chemistry | 30 | 150 |
| Mathematics | 30 | 150 |
| Total | 90 | 450 |
- Level: Matric (Class 10).
- Options: four per question, one correct.
- Language: English and Hindi.
- Answer sheet: OMR, marked with a blue or black ball-point pen.
- Negative marking: not mentioned in the 2026 prospectus.
- Tie-break in the PE merit list: higher Mathematics marks first, then Physics, then the older candidate.
The PM and PMM paramedical papers have different subjects, so this paper is for PE candidates. The DCECE 2027 exam is expected in May 2027.
