AP EAMCET 2020 Calculation of Result
The calculation of AP EAMCET 2020, is done based on the normalisation of the scores as the exam is held in over multiple session.
There are 2 components of the result:
- Normalisation of the raw marks in the exam, and
- Determination of ranks based on the normalised scores.
How is normalisation done in AP EAMCET? It is done using the formula below:
Why is normalisation done? Since the question paper will be different for each session, there is a possibility that the candidates compare themselves about the variation in the difficulty level of questions. Therefore to rule out any inequality difficulty level, normalisation is done.
Calculation of Ranks: The ranks are alltted to the candidates based on the below given weightage:

Tie Breaking Policy In AP EAMCET 2020
The tie breaking in AP EAMCET 2020 is done if 2 or more candidates get the same score in the exam. The tie breaking policy is done in the order given below:
- The total marks secured in AP EAMCET-2020
- Marks secured in Mathematics in AP EAMCET-2020
- Marks secured in Physics in AP EAMCET-2020
- The Percentage of Aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination
- If the tie still persists, the older (based on date of birth) being given preference over the younger.
AP EAMCET 2020 Qualifying Marks
As per last year’s information brochure for AP EAMCET it is expected that there shall be a qualifying marks for the appeared candidates of AP EAMCET 2020.
- Qualifying marks for AP EAMCET 2020 is of 25% of the of the maximum marks scored by the candidates for ranking.
- There shall be no qualifying marks for the candidates belonging from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category under the reservation policies. Candidates who have applied under this category must note that their admission through AP EAMCET 2020 shall be done as per the limited availability of seats in the concerned courses.
AP EAMCET 2020 Rank Card
After the release of AP EAMCET 2020 Answer Key JNTU releases the AP EAMCET 2020 rank card for all the appeared candidates. It is expected that the AP EAMCET 2020 rank card of the candidates shall contain a rank for the candidates based on the marks secured by the candidates in AP EAMCET 2020 and the marks secured by them in the qualifying examination. A weightage of 75% will be given to the AP EAMCET 2020 arks of the candidates and a weightage of 25% shall be given to the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination. JNTU Kakinada conducts Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) on behalf of the APSCHE. AP EAMCET is conducted for admission to its medical, agriculture and engineering courses.
