The GAT-B / BET 2027 result is expected in June 2027 on exams.nta.nic.in/gat-bet. DBT and RCB publish the GAT-B qualified list and the BET shortlist, and you download your scorecard from NTA. In 2026 the result came on 10 June and GAT-B score and rank cards on 25 June.

How to Check the GAT-B / BET 2027 Result
- Open the official GAT-B / BET website.
- Click the score card link for GAT-B or BET 2027.
- Sign in with your application number and password, and type the captcha.
- View your marks and rank, then download and print the scorecard.
- Check the GAT-B qualified list or the BET shortlist on the RCB and DBT websites.
NTA does not post scorecards, and there is no re-evaluation or re-checking of the result.
What does the GAT-B / BET scorecard show?
GAT-B qualifiers get a score and rank card; BET candidates get a score card and, if shortlisted, appear in Category-I or Category-II.

The BET figures are for the full 500 fellowships, from the DBT notice of 15 June 2026, which replaced an earlier list for 250. The GAT-B figures are from the DBT GAT-B result notice.
What happens after the GAT-B result?
GAT-B qualifiers apply to each participating institute separately; DBT and RCB do not run counselling.
- Check the list of participating institutes, programmes and seats on the RCB DBT PG page (1,316 seats in 79 programmes in 2026).
- Fill each institute’s admission form; DBT asks institutes not to charge GAT-B qualifiers an application fee, subject to institute norms.
- Institutes publish their own merit and waiting lists. The 2026 tentative schedule had the first list on 17 July and closure of admissions on 31 August.
- The GAT-B score is valid only for admission in that academic year.
What happens after the BET result?
BET shortlisted candidates register on the DBT-JRF portal to get their fellowship award letter.
- Register on the DBT-JRF portal and submit your eligibility documents for verification.
- Category-I: get the award letter within one year of the result and register for a Ph.D. within two years of the letter.
- The fellowship is Rs 37,000 a month for two years, then Rs 42,000 a month as SRF after a three-member assessment, plus Rs 30,000 a year contingency.
- Category-II: you may join DBT-sponsored projects with a NET/GATE-equivalent fellowship, but not the DBT-JRF fellowship.
